Getting silly now this SDW.
I agree with your minority support sentiments but I cringe at the thought of Warriors fans seeing your threads thinking we all give a toss about them and have the same obsessions as you…
Like you have said Rugby League will be gone in years to come so leave them to it.
And as for how they have acted in the past you should forget all that we need to be the bigger club here not just financially, in terms of local and worldwide support or overall success but lets have a bit of intergrity and show them that we really dont give a flyer.
Does anyone know how much Warriors pay us in rent?
Loathe for Rugby or not I am sure that money comes in handy…
Amazing that in one of the most if not the most important periods in our Premier League history the same tired faces feel the need to take one line out of context and put a negative spin on what is a fair comment by a manager who has been loyal to the Wigan Athletic cause to no end.
We have already qualified for Europe, we are potentially 90 minutes away from winning the FA Cup and we are by absolutely no means relegated and have everything left to play for.
I feel sorry for people who cant get behind their team in such a situation.
Out of context? No
But i was expecting you to jump on this thread anyway, You know, Being the most obnoxious person on the board. You can’t wait to have a dig. Why don’t you just be yourself and stop trying to impress other people.
Well you got what you expected then didnt you darling.
Robles has been fantastic since coming in for Ali.
Putting aside Figs dangerous back pass it was a very lazy clearance.
He should of put it out for a throw but watching back the replays it looks like he tried to chip Bale and give it back to Figs.
He’s had some very good individual moments this season.
But to be brutally honest he needs someone walking around the pitch with him rolled up newspaper in hand to give him a smack every time he gives the ball away.

I didnt fancy our chances against West Ham and I am feeling the same about tomorrow.
AVB will have the players at his disposal who can exploit a couple of our major weaknesses e.g. lack of defensive ability down the wings and lack of pace in our CB’s.
That being said I am hoping to be proved wrong and I am still totally confident we will stay up.
We can realistically play West Brom and to an extent Swansea off the park on our day and I think the Arsenal game is written in the stars to be three points for us.
If it goes down to the Villa game after that then so be it.
I have no doubt we have a much better team than them and have the experience necessary to get the job done despite last day pressure.
I begrudge paying ridiculous beer prices as much as the next person but having already forked out over £100 for the privilege of seeing us play in an FA Cup final the Salford household budget can go whistle.
Enjoying the day out will be the top priority for me.
£100 is the weekly budget for most of Salford isn’t is SL? (disclaimer: excludes Worsley, Monton and a bit of Eccles)
Depends if you are over 25 then you get a bit more….
I must be one of the lucky ones working in Monton.

If we do sell out that should be a thing of great pride to us, especially with the the FAs scuppering tactic of late kick off.
Come one come all…I dont care whether they are “proper” fans.
Agree if the JCL’s and people who have never been to a football game before didn’t go to the Final we would be lucky to sell 12,000 tickets. Why are some people so upset that these people go to the games??? If we didn’t have new fans or JCL’s we would still be getting crowds of 3,000. Every one was a JCL at one time. ;)
Exactly!
And think how many of those will catch the Wigan Athletic bug if we lift the cup
He never said that he deliberately tried to injure Haaland eitherThe quote in the book is “I’d waited long enough. I f****** hit him hard,” he wrote. “The ball was there (I think). Take that you c***. And don’t ever stand over me sneering about fake injuries”
Now, don’t get me wrong it was a bad challenge. really bad. But even in my limited playing experience there were times when I deliberately fouled an opponent & sometimes hit em good & hard with a “have a bit of that” attitude similar to the quote above. But I never deliberately tried to injure them & that’s how I’ve always took Keane’s quote to be honest
Keane also said he’d never deliberately tried to injure an opponent (as I say different than deliberately fouling someone) & the writer of his book admitted to using artistic licence & paraphrasing sections of the book – although I admit that both of these were possibly attempts to backtrack as Keane realised he was gonna get into bother for the original comments
If thats aimed at me I said “purposefully set out to assault a player ”
If someone says “I’d waited long enough. I f****** hit him hard” Then surely even you can read between the lines through your red devil tinted specs that it was a premeditated attack.
Which is IMO worse than biting someone in the heat of the moment and should have been treated with a bigger ban than the 6 games he received Suarez or no Suarez.
I think ten games is excessive.
What did Keane get for ending Alfie’s career? 6 Games?
Sorry to pull you up on this, but it’s absolute shite.
Roy Keane did not end Haaland’s career. This is one of the biggest myths in football. Haaland played two games within seven days of the tackle. He played against Bulgaria four days after, and started against West Ham the following weekend. And the surgery that ended his career was on the other knee.
Fair play , I didnt even know that it was a different knee to be honest and had it in my head Keane settled out of court after he admitted in his book he set out to injure him so fook knows where I got that from.
Suprising really because in my social and work circles Man Utd could resurrect Hitler and be seen to do no wrong..
The point I was trying to make though is if Keane purposefully set out to assault a player surely that is worse than a heat of the moment assault no matter how stupid it is because of the fact he bit his arm like a little girl.
Ivanovic is one for pinching under arms and standing on toes in the box though which isnt any better as its all cheating at the end of the day.
There is the argument as mentioned above though that as he had already recently received a lengthy ban for racism that his punishment needs to be escalated.
What the FA needs is some consistency then everyone knows where they stand.
And retrospective yellow cards for theatrical diving while I am on the subject as its killing the game.
i.e. Sinclair, Not done to bad since as he?Ey up I missed that part.
Depends what you count as not doing too bad…
Pulling a bird with decent knockers when he has the stature of an umpa lumpa isn’t doing too bad as long he can use said knockers to muffle her annoying voice.
In footballing terms though his season has been terrible due to his career killing move to Man City.
By the time he gets out of there i.e. he has run down his contract and picked up his inflated salary he will have lost the hunger and pace that made him a half decent player for Swansea.
Let’s look at it from another perspective. If with the injury to Alcaraz we are going to concede more goals, then lets make sure we score more goals than the opposition. Lets play Hernandez and Kone up front together.
What’s the point of getting someone on loan and not playing them????? i.e. Sinclair, Not done to bad since as he?I’m with Bronx on this.
A goal scorer of Hernandez’s proven quality is just what we need.
Personally I would also drop Maloney for Messi while we are at it
I think ten games is excessive.

But the mention of Stam coming back in the team by Griff has gave me a sense of desperation on the subject.
I didn’t say I’d bring him back!
I know mate, just the mention of it is enough to send shivers down my spine.
You could argue that as much as our upturn in form was seen to have came about when Alcaraz rejoined the team it could also be said the same of when Stam was dropped.
I would play Pollit at RWB before Stam as I am sure out of ten attempts he would get at least one somewhere in the box..
