Tried his hardest to tonight sammy
Only in the 88th minute though. Up until then he was being very careful.
Apart from Coleclough for Massey that was the same team that played probably the best 45 mins I’ve seen us play this season – the first half against Gillingham. They were excellent against an in form team.Hopefully its a blip and once the City game is out of the way we’ll get back on track again.
As for Morsy the fact he has 9 bookings prior to last night shows what type of player he is but both him and Cook showed a distinct lack of brains last night.
When it was clear we weren’t going to pull it back Cook should have taken him off but then to get yourself booked after 88 mins for mouthing off shows he must be pretty stupid in my humble opinion.
We need to not get battered next Monday and we needed Sam in the centre of the midfield.
Scoreline anyone ????
Morsy was booked for a foul, which I thought was warranted, then he started mouthing off.
Apologies if this has already been said but out of the last five home league games we’ve failed to score in four of them. That has to be a cause for concern.
That’s why I’ve said elsewhere if (when) Morsy is going to pick up another yellow and get banned for 2 games, I’d rather he picked it up tonight and only miss one League gameHe seemed determined not to get booked at Southend.
I was born in Zambia and grew up in Springfield. Then lived in Sheffield and St Helens, before moving to Standish.Does that qualify me as being from Standish?
Bloody immigrants….!

Put a Hawaiian pizza in the oven last night but burned it.
Should have had it on aloha light.Bloke goes into Galloways for a cake.
They are all priced at £1 each except for one which is £2.
“Why is this £2 and all the others are £1”, he asks.
“That’s Madeira cake”, says the shop assistant. And, Dave. They are amongst the richest business people in Asia, and that really is saying something.
If these guys are so rich, then they could easily afford to terminate the contract with the rugby and pay them the £20m or so compensation that may be due for buying out the remainder of a 50 year lease. That would be recouped with one season in the prem.
Similarly, if they are so rich and the pitch does hinder the progress up the league, then these guys are rich enough to move the football club to a purpose-built stadium that isnt below the water line, and that is full every week, as they wont want to have “their” club on TV in the far east playing to a 30% full stadium.
With DW, we knew what we were getting – an honourary Wiganer who loved the town, but these new owners have no affinity to the town, and could easily move their club to an area where there is a bigger fanbase.
Where would Wigan Athletic have a bigger fanbase?
Milton Keynes?
Now Sammy; that is funny for you :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:
Normally you come across as very drole.
I feel I ought to take that as a compliment.

A pretty wealthy guy/company it seems.
My big concern is what they will do once they have spent a few quid and we haven’t made it back to the Prem.
I’ve been looking at this, and Googling like mad, and it all becomes muddied. Not bad, not good – I just can’t tell. Which of course is the objective.
The finances of IED are actually, I think, irrelevant. That’s the holding company in the name of which the deals will be done.
The core sentence in the link Egg provides is: “In the opinion of the Directors, the holding company of the Company is Brighten Path Limited, which is incorporated in the British Virgin Islands, and the ultimate holding company of the Company is Head and Shoulders Direct Investment Limited.”
Both of these companies “appear” to be in the hands of one man: Chiu Fai Choi.
His business profile is here (also click on the “Read Full Background” button):-
https://www.bloomberg.com/research/stocks/people/person.asp?personId=29928586&privcapId=274860571The Cheng family have been mentioned as the people taking over, but they sold IED to Dr Choi in 2017 and no members of the Cheng family are on the board.
However, if you look at Dr Choi’s profile you will see that he is actually described as “He has 23 years of experience in securities, futures, financial derivative products and merger and acquisition projects”.
The only thing that is certain to my belief (which means it’s not at all certain :) ) is that somewhere there is an individual who wants to own a football club – Dr Choi? One of the Cheng family? Who knows.
I certainly wouldn’t get hung up about who IED are, or where they are based, or whatever. They are a front name for whoever wants to buy in.
Well, that’s my reading of it, but I could be very wrong. I often am (but don’t tell anyone that!)
All seems millions of miles away from Communism!!
Eh? Where’s communism mentioned?!
Nowhere, but all the talk of Chinese billionaires just seems funny for a Communist totalitarian state.
You need to drag yourself into the 21st century regarding the business dealings of Chinese entrepreneurs.
I’ve read that many different articles on this now, I don’t know what I’m looking at anymore or who’s THINKING of buying us(not done yet), after delving through all the shit and big words one said they made a 600,000 loss(That’s not IED) in their financial year, now that doesn’t sound good!!! but sod it, it’s the rollercoaster of supporting Wigan Athletic and the ride goes on and on enjoy it, no other club is having our journey their all boring. If the assets the of person or group looking to buy Wigan Athletic is measured in hundreds of billions a £600k loss is like you (certainly me) losing 50p.

Work it out. Pretty simple really Sam.Wigan Athletic play first team games at the DW. What is there to work out?
Pitch isn’t too bad compared to other season’s but compared with the pitches at Euxton it’s pretty dire.WTF has that got to do with the state of the pitch at the DW?
I reckon the state of our midden will slow them down enough. What’s wrong the the pitch? It’s holding up pretty well compared to previous seasons with no complaints from Bournemouth or West Ham.
