I am aware that it might be thought I am desperate to win this book

I’ll repost from the other thread.

Barbados Dave?
Dave from near Skem?
I notice the picture seems to have gone from Twitter. I hope someone (maybe Rosler, maybe DW) has b******ed him and asked what the **** he thinks he’s doing.
It’s a good job I don’t swear :)
Does your boss dictate to you what you can do in your free time?
Why are people getting stressed about this, he was at home on his own time because Rosler had chosen to leave him out.
No, but his boss does. They have a code of conductguidelines regarding social media that they must adhere to. And that’s not my opinion, it’s a fact.
I’m quite sure that there is no formal clause that stipulates they should not post half-naked selfies on Twitter while there is a match going on but unless he’s completely thick (not beyond the realms of possibility) he would pretty much know that that is the kind of thing that would, at best, be frowned upon.
Beach football, posing naked, a bit thick? Is there a connection here?
Paddy and Mick are working on a roof. Paddy is on top of the ladder and starts to feel unwell.
“I’ll have to come down Mick”, say Paddy. “I’m a bit dizzy. I need to go home”.
“Have you vertigo?” says Mick.
“No, I only live round the corner”, replies Paddy.
I see Jordi played the full 90 minutes and scored a well taken goal.
Still miles better than anything we had on show against Fulham.
Espinoza had a cracker of a game on Saturday and also “scored a well taken goal”, I watched the Palace v Sunderland game tonight and Gomez was exactly the same as when he played for us good in parts, went down easy when challenged, gave the ball away a few times, scored a good goal, and looked terribly slow, I would not trade his performance tonight for Rogers on Saturday.
I still prefer Gomez to him for his composure on the ball and his eye for a pass to unlock a defence.
and no doubt get a rousing reception like Hugo did on Saturday.
I’m all for showing a former player respect but it was a bit over the top. At least he didn’t score the winner but was instrumental in preventing us from getting all three points.
The only ones “instrumental in preventing us from getting all three points” on Saturday were our defenders. All 3 Fulham’s goals were mistakes by us.
Of course it was down to our defensive mistakes but that wasn’t my point. It happened to be Rodallega bearing down on goal and would most likely have scored if he hadn’t been brought down. That’s the guy who used to play for us but now plays for a competitor. Would an appreciative round of applause from our fans been appropriate if he had?

Just for the record, Rosler brought Figs in on an emergency loan due to the injury crisis . He mentioned Boyce, two Taylor’s, Perch and Ramis at the time as all being out through injury. The Perch rumour is therefore a load of buncombe. Thanks for clearing that up.
It’s perfectly acceptable to play one attacking and one defensive midfielder in a 4-4-2, and I was led to believe from Bees fans that Forshaw was more of a defensive midfielder.Of course, another way of playing to our strengths would be to pack our midfield and play a 3-5-2. I’d go for
Carson
Figs Barnett Ramis
McLean Forshaw Maloney Kwist McManaman
Riera Waghorn
Granted, the two Mcs may need to work on their tackling if they were to play wing back
And that’s where your idea fails especially with respect to the younger of the two Mcs.

You’re not kidding. We must have the angriest wingers in the game. Every challenge they make’s a potential red card
plagiarist!
And what’s happened to Perch? Is he another player that’s fallen foul of Rosler?
The guy I sit next to told me at the Millwall game that he’d heard there had been some altercation between Perch and the manager and he reminded of the same on Saturday. I personally DFKDFC and take it with a pinch of salt as we all hear this sort of stuff like this being bandied about.
I just think Tavernier is in favour because he’s half decent, puts in a shift and seems to take a lot of dead balls (corners, crossed free kicks).
That rumour was doing the rounds on Saturday. He hasn’t feature at all since the Brentford home game when he was on the bench and I’ve not heard anything about him being injured. Is he?
