As a culinary delight this is on a par with deep fried Mars Bars and about as healthy.
Still, it was always good as an excuse for blaming how bad you were feeling the morning after the night before rather than the 15 pints you’d downed.
It’s usually done by people who …… have no idea about football. That’s really all that needs to be said.
I did take this thread, well the original post at least, as tongue-in-cheek. As if we are in any kind of position to make a real impact on either the FA Cup or the Europa League. Lightning, rarely if ever, strikes twice.
If there is any real desire within the club to get back to the Premiership then it must be this or next season before the parachute payments finish.
I think the position of goalkeeper is the least of our worries at the moment.
Is Glenn Tilbrook noted for being a lyricist?
Maybe the card should say, “From a Very Pretentious Cat” although by your reckoning that would seem a rather obvious thing to say and therefore not very thoughtful.
After all it is the thought that counts.Cats *are* pretentious, though, aren’t they, it’s the nature of being a cat…After they’ve been run over they’re not.*
* I don’t deliberately run over cats by the way.
As for mother’s & father’s day – a couple of years ago I saw posters advertising “Grandparents Day” cards & presents in Clinton’s & St Helens a couple of years ago. Thankfully now I’m a father that one seems to have died a deathOr a card saying “Happy Christmas from a Very Special Cat”.
A bit pretentious of the cat don’t you think?
I don’t mind admitting that I think the parents were very much in on it and Christ knows what happened to her ( Well I have a pretty good idea ! ) but she is more than likely dead ! They have had some very influential people backing them up, some people who might lets say be of a masonic persuasion ! There is one Hell of a big peodophile ring out there that unfortunately will NEVER be broken up ! Some may scoff at my views but I will not waiver ! I have done enough research to be of this opinion and it sickens me to the core ! Funny how the Portuguese police got their noses pushed out aint it ! Thick as thieves the fuckin lot of em !I too have read quite a bit about this and share your same opinions.
Oh he was guilty alright.

I formed my own opinion on this a long time ago.
Have you read this one? http://www.cwporter.com/mccann.htm
Warning: this article investigates why the writer believes she was not abducted. If it’ll offend you, don’t read it.[/quote]
Anthony (Tony) Bennett, who wrote that article, was found guilty of contempt of court and given a three-month suspended prison sentence and ordered to pay the McCann’s court costs earlier this year because he wouldn’t keep schtum about it.

A woman at work has just said, “in her opinion the kids were drugged so the McCanns could go out”I have just had a stand up argument with her, that it’s more likely that they weren’t than they were and she should shut the f up.
I am sick to death of this case too, in that moaning bleaters see the need to kick off about money spent, what the parents did, might have done etc etc.
They made a terrible mistake which most parents wouldn’t do but they’re paying the ultimate price
I’m not into conspiracies but there is a raft of stuff on the internet that brings into question the “official” version of events involving this case. I’ve read a good deal of it mainly because this whole affair didn’t sit right with me in the first place. The McCanns employ PR people and very powerful lawyers to defend their position and have taken newspapers and individuals to court when they have dared to imply they had some involvement in her disappearance which, in my view, is not the action of normal grieving parents who have nothing to hide.
If you mean will my personal taxes increase because of the money spent on this investigation then the answer is obviously no.
Are you saying therefore that I shouldn’t question how my taxes are spent or that an already over burdened police force can waste £5m and two-year’s man power re-investigating a case that was already 4 years old when it started and had already been investigated and closed by two national police forces.
Based on last nights showing and the starling lack of any new real credible evidence, quite what the police have been doing in those two years is a complete mystery to me.A quick search on Google will show that the £5m figure is a widely reported media estimate of the cost.
1. However, I am insensitive to the way her parents have conducted themselves throughout this whole sorry affair.explain please.
Let’s say they have not acted in a manner that I and many others believe is normal for parents who have lost a child in this way.
2 Being a tax payer means it has affected me personally
explain please.
Since the government will not allow me to decided where my tax gets spent then all of it could have contributed to the £5m in question.
And why £5m on this particular case? -
