Has he handed in a transfer request or is the club up to something? Smokescreen perhaps to keep the fans quiet(ish)

    Just a thought.

That would be tantamount to libel and so I think you are way off with this one! As for the player, the lad has obviously spat his dummy out for whatever reason and so let him go and move on!
He could have been told to hand in a transfer request so that way he loses out on any percentage of the deal and we can drop our price slightly so that interested clubs meet our valuation.

    Think about it.
They wouldn’t have issued a statement like that if he’d been forced into doing it.

If he’d been told to hand a transfer request in, the least they’d have done is say how they wish him all the best etc etc.

We need to sell him while the price is high.

There are holes in the finances that need plugging and I hope there’s a little bit spare to invest on a replacement.

We seem to be an exercise yard for players who can’t break into the squad of their parent clubs but the loanee keeper and right back seem ok but not sure about any of the others yet.
Would prefer them to be risked at Old Trafford rather than against Sheffield Weds.

When i mentioned midfield i meant bringing Morsy back, i cant think why we brought Tunnicliffe back!
I can only presume it’s because Joyce rates him so highly – having worked with him before.

Hopefully he’ll be a good influence on him as he was in the same youth team as Pogba and Lingard but was considered a better prospect than either of them.

And at the risk of being called tedious for the second time this week…..

GMP wouldn’t allow away fans in both the North and South Stands as it would prove virtually impossible to keep home and away fans separate before and after the game.

Whatever happened to the old fashioned way , club gets percentage of tickets sells as many as poss sends those not sold back for home club to sell on. Simple.

That would be far too simple Nuneaton.
There is no reason why we coulldn’t have taken 7000 tickets from them, put them on sale until Saturday evening and sent the remaining ones back on Sunday for Utd to sell the following week.
Who knows, we may have sold them all anyway with the way the original 3000 were snapped up.
Yes there is. It’s not like Wembley.

The club had to commit to the tickets they took.

They were given the option of taking 1900 first, with an additional buffer of 1100 if those sold, and after that it would mean committing to an additional 2000 or so as that was the size of the next block.
I was refering to Nuneatons post of, whatever happened to the old fashioned way.
I do know why we took so few and why we didn’t take up the extra after the second lot, I can read, and do understand why, but that wasn’t the point of the post.
You are a very tiresome individual at times Standish, stop jumping on peoples back the second it may look like someone is having a go at the club, its getting a bit tedious.
You said:

‘There is no reason why we coulldn’t have taken 7000 tickets from them, put them on sale until Saturday evening and sent the remaining ones back on Sunday for Utd to sell the following week.’

And I was merely saying ‘yes there is a reason why would couldn’t have done that’.

The old fashioned way went out of the window long ago when football stadiums stopped selling out for FA Cup matches. If you can sell thousands of tickets in one go to the visitng club, why would you even consider taking them back again and possibly losing out on that revenue?

People have posted on here that it didn’t help that the club allowed two per season ticket – which I agree with. Likewise it was poor that they couldn’t get through on the phone – which I also agree with.

And yes, I may be tedious, but this is a forum. It’s for debating and expressing your views. So, if I don’t agree with what you’ve said I’m going to post as much!

I can’t remember him playing for us last time.

Not sure if that’s a bad thing or down to my memory.

To chuck another spanner in the works a fan that as paid on the day ten times or so this season will have given the club much more in cash than a season ticket purchaser so why shouldn’t they have first dibs.
I only say this to point out the club are in a no win situation with this subject. When there is a demand some fans will always miss out.

They have, but there will be very few who have done this and they probably can’t prove they’ve paid on the door ten times. Whereas a season ticket holder can prove he’s paid to attend every home game.

It’s the same at every club.

Sponsors and execs get the first choice, then season ticket holders, then open sale.

Seriously?? It is like you are looking for any single way to criticize the club. They have made a fantastic gesture to the fans, and you are the only one criticizing.

I think from now I will stop taking notice of your pointless comments as it benefits and entertains nobody.

Yeah you do that, stop taking notice and move on somewhere else rather than your painful dross on how the sun shines out the clubs arse.
I know how many tickets actually went on sale this morning it was less than a 100. The rest were taken by corporate, the club and sponsors well before this morning. The second batch were are actual allocation.
They should have made less of a subsidy say £25 and £35 and took another 2000

3000 ? , be like a burp in the grand canyon, Latics small minded club with certain small minded fans (as above)

    That’s not true.

some loudmouth spouted off on Twitter last Thursday after a private conversation with JJ.

Why would you do that SW?
Ba-dum tish!

    Lucky guess mate, ok pal.

I can definitively tell you, that it was not a guess.

Tell you what is making me think, the fact that someone who clearly knows f**k all about the goings on within the club (You), being jealous and basically saying somebody that was given some facts (Me) is lying?

    Any reason why?
One of the more vocal users of Twitter had a conversation with JJ on the courcourse at the Under 18s game last week and was assured that Morsy wouldn’t be leaving in January.

So it has been circulating for about a week now that he was going nowhere.
Well, I heard or read absolutely zero about that.
However it doesn’t matter what was ‘circulating’, I just stated you a FACT that had come from the top, hours later, it is confirmed. (Albeit they did say there would be a day or 2 until they announce but never mind) :)
All I was saying was, numerous people have also known for a while that he wasn’t going anyway, but some loudmouth spouted off on Twitter last Thursday after a private conversation with JJ.

What happened to the replies that alluded to the fact that our club couldn’t do cheap tickets as it wouldn’t be financially viable? I didn’t dream it! Bloody moderators eh !

Theg on’t face job if you ask me! :)

Shame the cheapest tickets don’t go to the regulars who travel away each week of the season. Next batch should go to the ones who were arsed to go in round three.
Anyway the pricing is up to United and our ST holders will get first dabs whether they went against Forest or not.

First dabs will and should go to people who have paid £200 to the club for a season ticket, not to someone who paid £10 to turn up last week!

I’m betting most of those who travel away regularly are season ticket holders only – so if you are a season ticket holder and have a history of away ticket purchase, then yes you should have priority.
