Yes but Doncaster was a Friday night on the M62 wah wah wah.

A mate of mine at the rugby actually moaned about it at the time so I said “you wanna try Norwich on a Tuesday”. He replied with “but its not the M62 is it” Well no its not. Its not even a motorway for the most part.

The idiots who run the sport do a good enough job of ruining it, but the fans really are on another planet at times.

We can compare it to grounds like Leigh and Widnes instead though if you like where they have failed to sell allocations for cup semi finals?

Why not compare it like-for-like (ie an away league fixture at a local rival)? I note you chose not to compare it to the Saints V Wigan league game last month when well over 3000 made the trip across the hill.

Or better still, don’t bring another sport into the thread just to try and score points.
And well over 3000 will make the trip the “17 miles” you quoted for this one as well.

Oh yeah I agree that what he did was wrong but so was what Max Power did for example.

Badly advised by his agent as many others have been in the past

They wouldn’t take any to Preston you fool. Why would they?

Sometimes Egg, you really do shoot yourself in the foot. Why drag a different sport into it, or is it just to impress your mates?

Check the thread fellas – I wasn’t the one who started it by expressing surprise that it hadn’t sold out. Nor was I the one making a dig at the price of tickets. All I did was mention that I was surprised it had gone to general sale so quickly after 1700 ST holders had bought their tickets.

If they ever played there of course which you well know was what I meant. We can compare it to grounds like Leigh and Widnes instead though if you like where they have failed to sell allocations for cup semi finals?

I will defend both clubs as and when I need to when people from the other side start with the wily waving.

And whilst you didn’t mention it directly you were having a dig because you do it every single time.

Mutty old boy obsessed with this forum.total klump of the highest order.he loves creaming his pants over attendance. S.lol.

And the funny thing is, Wigan rugby wouldn’t take 6000 either. They probably wouldn’t take 3800.

I’m glad Bolton didn’t go into receivership, just putting my tin hat on as I type. Got friends who are fans, and you can’t have a local rivalry without a local rival! It is better having the game against them to look forward to.

                    Fully agree

Make the Champions League exactly that. The Champions from the top 8 leagues in Europe play one another twice in a league format. Only 1 extra game than they play now so scheduling should be fine.

The Champions of the other leagues and cup winners from all leagues go into the Cup Winners cup in a group/knockout format.

Everyone else (ie your 2nd, 3rd, 4th teams) into the Europa League as it is now.

Spot on sammy, although i think we still played it when nzogbia scored against arsenal and west ham but i shall stand corrected

This is getting silly, how can you tell someone they are spot on then immediately correct them for two things they got wrong?
Like I said, let’s put a line under this thread its just becoming a “love in”.
Because your reasoning was spot on silly even if your examples werent

                            Fair enough.

I certainly don’t think things have fallen through so there must be a simple reason. Maybe they want to takeover at the start of the season (ie next) or the financial year. Or maybe, combining 4 businesses into 1 is taking longer than expected.

The fact they are at home games still though can only be a positive sign.

A big Irish club in a small Scottish Loch.

It must be getting on a year now since this takeover epic started. Definitely before FA Cup game at Fylde last November.

Don’t recall it being that far back TBH but it was Decemeber 1st the Fylde game as I missed my works xmas do for it ;)

If you pick the right song its brilliant for keeping the crowd on their feet after we score. Big yes from me.

I see it differently Nuneaton – there’s few sports that see such spontaneous & prolonged celebrations for things than football and its that spontaneity & hell for leather celebrations that are one of its attractions for me.

I know it’s an extraordinary game & example, but think back to the FA Cup final in 2013. Remember how you felt, remember how you celebrated & then think about the celebrations that were all over youtube & social media (“OH MY GOD, OH MY GOD!!!”) and then think about the celebrations that were on TV (some fella with long hair looking like he was gonna explode whilst punching the air & another bloke behind him with an inane grin on his face, eyes popping out of his head whilst just grabbing & shaking anyone within reach of him)
Now go back to that moment & within a few seconds, cut it all dead by playing some music that does nothing but stop everyone’s spontaneous celebrations & has everyone doing some crappy, cheesy co-ordinated dance

Keep the goal music or similar for ice hockey, rugby league or 20/20 cricket but please keep it away from football
Correct. There’s a time and a place and football isn’t it.
