I can understand not supporting England and choosing to have no affiliation to any Country because you’re a club football man, or maybe following a nation your parents or grandparents came from, but not supporting England to support Germany??? Beggars belief.
I wouldn’t be too sure about that Mutty
The changing of an S to a Z in words such as criticise and authorise fecks me off as well.
HUMBUG!
Being serious….I’m guessing it isn’t Hereford because we had a few games left to play after being elected?
Similar trickery to the first away team to win at The JJB question?
Leeds?
England must be cacking themselves
Celtic and Rangers fans always seem to have that bit of ‘scouser’ about them. It’s always someone else’s fault and the other has always done worse. (see the comment regards Rangers in Manchester for example – totally irrelevant to the matter at hand but they have to get it in there)
We definitely need some of the more bigger games of the season to be shown on the BBC or ITV but the marketing of them is pretty poor TBH. The 6 Nations is usually advertised from around December time and doesn’t start until February whereas the Challenge Cup is rarely advertised and when it is it’s more of a lip service style advert than a passionate one.
IF England get to the final then I would hope/expect/demand that the beeb advertised the fact day in and day out for the whole week between its biggest watched programs. Quite a few people will watch the game because it is England in a World Cup final. A guy in my street for example put a Union flag up in his front window the morning of the 2003 RU World Cup and AFAIK has never watched a game of Union in his life. National pride always takes over in instances like that I think.
I’d also like to see the Super League show shown at a decent hour nationwide as opposed to silly o’clock in the morning. We can’t expect people to know about something that isn’t advertised and is then on at 3am. What are the chances of them ‘stumbling across it’ at that time and being hooked?
Obviously most on here will disagree and I even I question it at times with some teams/games/results but I believe that a top quality game of RL such as Wigan v Saints/Leeds/Wire will beat any other sport for entertainment value. Those matches have everything from passion, intensity and skill to the odd bit of biff. It needs to be shown to the biggest audience possible because most genuine sports fans who don’t have an instant hatred to it like Latics fans do will find it entertaining IMHO. Yes some won’t have a clue what is happening but that will come with time. The first task is to get them watching and wanting more.
Manure? Noblot? Eh?
I am now :D
im getting pretty sick of the anti irish/celtic thing thats spreading like a virus through the club, this season more than ever before , like has been said earlier just because he doent want to wear a poppy so what ? you dont know his reasons nor do i , perhaps he should come out and give his reasons then we could understand a bit more
now this celtic thug thing its the amsterdam police who are thugs who went undercover and attacked at random shirt wearing celtic fans who were doing no more than we were doing in bruge just having a good piss up thats what they are all about not like rangers who wrecked manchester city centre last time they were involved in a game in europe that had any meaning.we have many players and management who have celtic/irish connections at this club and i know quite a few people of this persuation whi , if they saw this kind of bile that is being spread would not want to come the games while this is going on , i prefer to keep it nuetral .Almost as neutral as my comments on rugby league that
Listened the match on the radio and I’ll be honest I was starting to wonder if we’ll ever score another goal away from home. A few efforts cleared off the line. Albrighton hitting the bar/post. Boycie and Fortune both hitting the side netting.
Hopefully that is the monkey well and truly off our backs now.
And here endeth the thread
