I hope its just a rumour but very disturbing news if it is regarding Cook and playing certain players and receiving a fee for playing them I just can’t see it.
I find it hard to believe that a grown man can even consider that there’s anything in it apart from being the rinvention of a pre-pubescent twitter poster with too much time on their hands.
Nothing directly, but it just gives the authorities another stick to beat the football fan with.
In the current form table there are 7 teams below us so how can we be in freefall?
Stop it with the OTT stuff you tart.
The last thing this club needs is a new manager with all the upheaval that entails. We need stability and continuity and not knee jerk reactions.
I’m not typing this through rose tinted specs as it’s pretty obvious to everybody that we aren’t doing as well as earlier in the season and that away from home we do seem to have a mentality issue.
But, like it or not, it’s no coincidence that we lost all the attacking and creative outlets that meant we scored for fun in the early weeks of the season. Every team would suffer if the whole of their first choice attacking unit was out for weeks/months on end.
Our backup isn’t cutting it because as a club we can’t afford to have expensive and well paid players in reserve.
We have a transfer window starting in a couple of weeks which may or may not freshen things up a bit. We also have the rest of our creativity edging closer to fitness.
Apart from the dimmest of the dim, most of us pencilled this in as a season of consolidation and steadiness. We’re halfway through the season and I reckon most would have taken our league position and points total if they’d been offered it before the Sheffield Wednesday match.
Let’s have a bit of sense and realism.
So can the Cook suckers please make a case as to why we should retain Cooks services in 2019 ?Maybe when you answer my question about where all those rumours you mentioned originated.
Do you think the new owners will want to invest in Cooks choice of player come January and end up in Division 1 some of you would like to think they will but the facts are, thier business men this won’t happen.
The rumours were flying around even before today’s game regarding Cooks future. Simple as he brought in a fair few players and non are up for the Championship.
Sorry to upset the Elton John rose tinted glass crew but he’ll be gone pretty soon. When you say rumours were flying around I presume you mean some completely uninformed sad sack made something up and posted it on Twitter.
We’ll see Blinker Boy
Blinker boy? Oh dear. I can see what kind of mentality we’re up against here.
Ok enlighten us. Who or where did these rumours originate from?

Tell your mum, dad, friends that Cockney Latic is the place to be. Start a campaign put up posters wave banners at games bribe people even. Anything to put this site back to where it belongs. It seems to be the only place to talk Latics at the moment. Vital appears to have morphed into a Brexit forum.
Of course he’ll be missed. He’s been missed the last few weeks when he’s obviously been carrying an injury. Any team in this division would miss a player of his calibre.
Ironically it could be his injuries that stop him going somewhere else. Who would take a chance on someone who misses so many minutes playing time.
How come the RL “World” Club Challenge is in England yet again? Because the Aussies aren’t arsed I suspect.
In this case yes because Byrne has always said it’s his favoured position and he doesn’t consider himself a full back.
I remember it clearly but I was only 8 and didn’t realise it was the last minute when we got the pen so didn’t feel nervous. I just remember there being loads of people there.
I will not be going to Bolton,im a fan not an idiot.I think both those points are open to discussion.
I haven’t seen the first 2 reds but I’ve seen the one from yesterday and to say it’s harsh is putting it mildly. I suspect if the first 2 hadn’t happened he wouldn’t have been sent off yesterday.
Yes he should get the same level of abuse as James McLean. But only because James McLean shouldn’t get any. Nobody should. It’s a free country with free speech supposedly. But it will be interesting to see if he’s treated any differently.
