I thought the window only closed on Friday.
I’m a bit baffled as to why the takeover wouldn’t have happened if he’d been our manager
Will the new seats be pigeon crap repellant? Mine at the moment certainly isn’t.
I still don’t understand how we ever got voted in that year. For years previously we’d been massively dominant in non league and by quite a way the best supported non league club. But by then we’d started to wane a little and our crowds were dropping. Couple that with the fact that Wimbledon got elected the season earlier (I think). It was unheard of for 2 new clubs to be voted in.
In true Wigan Athletic fashion, everything was against us but we overcame it all. Some things never change.
Cook says we have injuries for tomorrow and that there’ll be changes. Maybe Grigg is one of the injured players.
Lee Evans anyone?Just seen that on Sky. We are overstaffed in midfield though if we do get him. Either a couple more are on the way out or he’ll have a lot of unhappy bored players on his hands. Having said that Evans was great for us last year.
Feels like too many comings and goings to me. Would have liked to kept the team together but have more confidence in Cooks judgement than the last two incumbents.Burn leaving is disappointing, but Power and Colclough aren’t Championship standard. Kipre looked decent last week and will only get better, Connolly impressed Ipswich fans playing in midfield last season. I think this time it’s tinkering and upgrading as opposed to the wholesale changes last time around.
Rumours he’s off to Sunderland. Last year his toys were thrown out of the pan because he wanted Championship football!!
Why we selling him?Because he’s not good enough for the Championship. League 1 is his glass ceiling.
Dan Burn. Player of the year, season before last, gave 100% every game. A terrific player. I thank him on behalf of my family, all season ticket holders, for his time at Wigan and, whilst we will still see him in our defence this season, albeit not every game, WE wish him every success when he eventually starts his journey with Brighton.Personally I believe he will do very well in the Premiership. Negative comments here are rather disengenious considering the service this player has given.
I would hope that Burn will be given support and thanks and not have to put up with the boo boys, who forget that people in all walks of life change jobs.
Well said. Unfortunately we have a particularly small minded fanbase who will no doubt boo him next time he plays for us.
6 million for a new pitch? No chance.
I recorded it and just tried to watch it but switched it off. Big black lines down either side squashing the picture so that everybody looked about 8 feet tall and 3 inches wide.
Hopefully just teething problems and they put it right for next week.
I think if we were pinning our hopes on him we would have given him more than a short term contract.
It says on Sky Sports we’ve agreed a deal for him but it doesn’t say anywhere that he’s actually put pen to paper. What time is the deadline to be able to play tomorrow?
Time for a large portion of humble pie Mutty.
I support Latics. But I think a lot of Latics fans are really bad pricks.
Therefore, I give up. Get fucked.
Only 3 thing things in life are guaranteed. Death taxes and a Dave wobbler.
