Rosler had us playing some great stuff in the season he took over from Coyle. But for whatever reason, he made a complete pig’s ear of his only pre-season with us. He took over Leeds and had a pre season there and did nothing. He’s joined Fleetwood part way through this season and done a job short term. It could be that he specialises in turning teams fortunes around but struggles with a longer term plan. Or maybe it was just Barrow’s fault when he had his pre season here.
I remember Neil Midgeley stopping a game because of the abuse he was getting from Golly. He went across to the edge of the pitch and told Golly to stay where he was while he went to get a policeman. Needless to say he’s scarpered by the time he got back.

I have a feeling the situation with Coyle might have an influence on Sharpe’s next move. With 13 games left does he hope and prey Joyce can turn it around and start picking up the 3pts per game we need or, get shut and hope a change of face and idea’s will give the players the new manager syndrome and get us out the muck.If he doesn’t and Blackburn escape Sharpe will no doubt get his nose rubbed in it for not making the change.
For me, Joyce would have to go and go now because without a change of manager we’ll go down.Sharpe made the change long before Blackburn did. One thing Sharpe can’t be accused of is being slow to make a change. But maybe he realises cahnge for changes sake is pretty futile.
I would expect Obertan to feature on Tuesday in Wildschutt type role to try to use his pace on the break. There seems to be a mental thing with our pitch so maybe he’ll be more tempted on what I assume to be a better firmer surface.

According to WJ he had offers from Crystal Palace and 2 ‘big’ french clubs, but he ‘decided’ to join us and really wants to help us.
