but this is a football board, and this is getting boring.
So have a pop at the neanderthals who continually start rugby-related threads.
Here’s a stat or two for you:
100% of Wigan rugby-related posts on this site are started in a knock-down or insulting fashion.
0% of rugby-related posts are started by someone praising Wigan Warriors.
Such as the half-wit below who, I guess, is either a shelf stacker or drives a van for a living. I have tried to find a meaningful post by him/her/it on any subject but have failed.
Get a grip man!!! Cos your official site is a picture of impartiality ain’t it? At least you get the right of reply on here, a privilege not reciprocated on yours!!!!
Maybe, but I would o fancied putting that chance away that Boselli missed.
Regarding their debt, it’ll all be the sweeter in a couple of years when it all blows up in their faces.
The sooner you put them under pressure the better. As soon as Di santo came on for Thomas the tempo lifted. If he had come on straight after the sending off you would have had over an hour to win the game instead of the 25 mins he got. Another tactical mystery from the spanish one,
Yeah should have been put on earlier but not straight away maybe.
Thing is chaps, if we’d o taken our chances, nobody would give two shakes if we’d played 4-4-2, 4-3-3 or even 1-3-2-3-1. Should’ve been out of sight after an hour.
Credit to Sunderland, they tucked away their only proper chance. We just need to find our shooting boots and we’ll be reet.
Swap Thomas and Cleverley round would be my guess.
Oh and definitely Stam for Boyce, what thee on marrar. Has thee net sehn yon mon play o wa?
Sorry for reverting to Wigan speyk.
I also hear that several local schools have been given free tickets for the upcoming fixtures against Sunderland & Man City.I don’t know if this is true, but if it is who gives a sh1t. This is something that you men have been doing for years. Even when you was successful, in the mid 90’s when I was at School, we used to get a ream of em every second week. I remember this clear as day, cos I was always asked to go and I got sick of saying no.
I’m not usually one for getting into these set to’s as I don’t really give a flyer either way, but this is a football board, and this is getting boring. We know that you are all jealous of our (relatively little) success in climbing up the leagues and taking all the limelight that you used to enjoy. (God forbid how you would react if we actually won a cup – highly unlikely but still).
End of the day, no matter what gloss you put on attendances etc, the fact of the matter is, last ten years ours have steadily increased whereas yours have done the exact opposite. Sure we’ll have a few days when our attendances will dip much like when you have your good days when Saints and Leeds come to town. Who gives a flying toss really.
Awaits figures and links blah blah blah.
That’s Wigan Bouncers for you James. :D
Don’t think I’ve been in Boulevard TBH, is that the one that used to be called Chute?
I read somewhere that Ancelotti fancies having a go, suppose he can (barely) speak better English than Capello.
If we’re keeping it English I’d go for Hoddle, can’t abide ole Satchel Face, but then again as James says, he could always help us to cheat our way to glory.
Quite bereft of options really aren’t we.
Tudor House used to be a belting pub to go into, but due to management issues (In my opinion) it went downhill. Had a cracking Jukebox n all.
Agree with others, Brocket is the place I’ll haunt when I’m back home along with a selection from Wigan Lane.
John Bull is a good un to break things up when making the walk from bottom of the Lane to Ibiza Bar. :D
Tis a good point Fatfan, however you never know, a round of applause might lull him into a false sense of security, see him drop his guard and indeed succumb to the inevitable clanger that we all know he is capable of on his day…like this…

Sorry Titus ;)
I always think that when a former player returns to one of his old haunts the booing only makes em more determined to put in a good show. Just a thought like.
I’m all for giving Bruce a bit of banter, but all Bramble will be getting off me is a round of applause and a chuckle if he does indeed drop one on Saturday.
Best defender since Arry…Can’t boo him. Each to their own n that.
well i lost 1 match all season last year on a dodgy bent table…. Nah im on about the captain, you never know lol.
You lose to meatloaf? .. Is the captain the person whos name I will not mention that said he doesn’t like playing against me at poker?? As he is a Latics fan but I don’t think he goes on here :)
Don’t you just love subtlety. ;)
Ah Swindon, its been quiet ever since Boselli signed for us, another top quality translation my friend.
Can this fella be signed after the deadline then? Or is he still a Deportivo player?
Anyway, back to the original subject……did you see the reaction of the players to his double save? Haven’t seen Kirkland get praise like that for…well, never.
Hope the loan recall rumour is just that.
Me as well fella. Belting low save from Defoe in the first half n all. I think Kirkland has been good for us, but his injuries, or his lack of training or whatever it is, seem to be catching up with him.
I hope we slap in a bid for him sharpish.
Oooooooooooooooohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!
Handbags.
Get that Al Habsi signed up now. Brilliant display from him, although he did have a bit of a flap when Kaboul had that chance in last minute. Other than that beltin.
And let me the first to say how did that chance escape from Alcaraz?
