Totally disagree with that VAT, Melchiot was a threat last night. He combines well with N’Zogbia and he came inside beating Taylor about 5 times. He also did some great clearances from Bolton corners. I agree with the fact that he doesnt seem to be a vocal captain but last night he played well in my view. However, i don’t think Boyce did anything with his run in the team and was abit confused when i saw Melchiot leading the team out.
Scotland last time out had arguably his best game in a latics shirt. The game changed when he left the field, no doubt about it, i would start Scotland
VAT i to am excited, really hope the crowd gets behind the team. I think you are right about Howard Webb i’m sure i’ve read it somewhere. I would like to see us go for it tonight and attack them from the off, but I will be nervous everytime Bolton get a free kick or a corner.

I would like to see area 51s team as I think it’s our strongest yet I can’t help but think scharner will start to give us more height to cope with stokes long ball tactics and give us abit more physicality.
My team had a league game cancelled last night, i’m not sure if it was because of that incident or the weather. We play outside though so probably is the latter.
Was meant to put amen at the end of the quote instead of in the middle.
I can’t believe everyone is saying sack Bobby!!!!What because we lost last night, so what we need to be concentrating on the league. I agree sometimes his tactics confuse me and the 4-5-1 everyone keeps slating is meant to be adaptable to a 4-3-3 with the 2 wide men tracking back into midfield to assist. There only tactically issue I think Bobby is struggling with is a plan B so when the formation isn’t working we need to change. The guy is still learning and said him self he would need 3 transfer windows to build the team he wants and change the way we play. I said at the start of the season I hope we give Bobby a chance and don’t sack him when the going gets tough, I do believe we will stay up this season. This season should be about staying in the league, letting Bobby put is own stamp on the club, build a team he wants and let him learn about managing in the Premier league.
Amen!
They are too many Wigan fans think we are a bigger club than we are and when it gets tough start wanting the manager sacked or Whelan out. We should all rally together and support the club we love, lets build something. Sir Alex didn’t have the greatest start to top flight English football because he needed a year to put his own stamp on things. Why not? I’ve read a few things where people hve said they are not going because it’s a waste of money. So how can these fans come out and criticise the team. I agree maybe it was a bad comparison with fergie but come onare we in that bad of a situation? We have a good side, my only worry is our defending of set pieces
The clowns who want Martinez out probably didn’t even go last night! I’m sorry but I don’t carefor one that we are out of the fa cup I thought it would just distract us from the league and we probably would have been beaten by fulham anyway. Secondly give the guy a chance Jesus, was fergie in this situation when they were beat by Leeds…no is the simple answer. I believe afte this tough season we will grow but give him a chance!
Look at what I said James where did I say scores goals for fun, I said he beat players for fun…tool!
I think this signing is one of the best we have made as a club. He fits perfectly into our system with him on the left, nzogbia on the right Hugo up top And McCarthy just behind. I have watched a few palace games and from what I’ve seen, he’s a worker, beats players for fun and can score goals. Just what we have been missing now we have threats down both wings. Our team is lookng good for the future with alot of the players still young.
Yes I think he played against cityRemember Chimbonda, not played for the national team? Give him a chance. I am however worried about the players we are linked with and i do think we need to spend some money and invest. Really hope Caldwell does not join.
Would like to think we can offer him first team football ahead of the other clubs who are after him. From what i’ve seen (which is very basic coverage on sky sports) of Moses he’s been on fire as of late, and if we were to spend 5 Million or i dare say above 5 million i hope it is on this lad. Firstly he would suit our style of play, Secondly he would allow Rodallega to play in his preferred position up front and thirdly i think it would give the fans a new idol, a young british player with bags of quality. As you say he may be tempted to one of the ‘Bigger’ clubs.
I am expecting a few additions but from looking at James McCarthy i think he could be like a new signing in the second half of the season.Whoever ken is, I would like to thank for putting that journalist in his place. Did anyone read the column by that clown collymore? They will never realise what our club is about and never accept we are in the premier league on merit. These articles just make me a prouder wiganer and that we hold our own with everyone just waiting to put the boot in on us. I don’t know griff but my first thought was that he was ken as well.
