The t1t-for-tat nonsense does my head in. There will always be a number of fans from either side who poke fun when the other loses, hypocritical of either team’s fans to have a go at the other for that.

How can people get so upset about what some nob said in the 80s ffs, it’s ancient history

As it happens, I like the rugby too. Neither team will ever get consistant high crowds because of their own petty differences, that’s the biggest tragedy of all.

WIGAN fan :)

If we collapse against Liverpool the atmosphere is going to be shocking.

They flags are taken down after every game, it’s their way of making themselves not feel like lodgers.

Like it or not, both of us are lodgers to Whelan.
Yet the football are paying for the pitch being relaid while the rugby don’t have to spend a penny.
Maintenance paid for by the Stadium Company, not ‘the football’.

ther was a game last year and there was a guy yellow water up with a purple/pinky jumper on dancing like a custard and he was with his wife remember singing “does ur wife take it up the Kaiber” can any1 remember which away team that was?

West Brom pal, remember it well as we got battered all game and ended up winning 2-1 in last minute (Boycey).

As for the little c**t that got abused on sunday I was one of the crowd shouting abuse, i’m not ashamed and you point out it was a minority? The majority of fans in ES2/3 were singing jewish songs all game and hurling abuse at this 1 spurs fan + the rest of the fans around him.
And you’re not ashamed? Have you ever actually left Wigan? I’m ashamed for you.

Attendances don’t concern me, I’m on about actual support from the fans at the stadium. Wimbledon fans made some noise and I remember playing Tranmere, Crewe, Nob End, Blackpool etc, we made a racket. But recently, the excitment, atmosphere, expectation etc has gone and we are quite frankly sad as muck. I’ve never been to a Premiership ground where the fans are as bad as us, just one question and this will answer wether we are indeed the worst set of fans to grace Englands top flight:
When was the last time you heard chanting of ‘Wigan, Wigan…’ or the chanting of ‘We Love You Wigan?’ If it was in the last 12 months, were not the worst. Awaiting responses.

It seams to me you are a little bit uneducated with regard to Latics fans, but I am here to help. We love our club, so when things are looking bleak it affects the fans. Were not like other clubs by way of turning up just for a good day out, we turn up because were desperate to see the club were all so proud of put up a good fight. When that doesnt happen, the fans become dejected and I for one am proud that after a match which we were poor I go home and feel like sh*t for the weekend.
We have seen so much success over the last few years, we are desperate for that to continue. Interesting you mentioning about the worst premiership fans though, so I have been doing a little investigating and have left some attachments for you to look at. Rather than the worst fans, to me these guys look 100% the best. Tell me if you think theyre any good or you think the support is poor –

Incidentally its 7 (SEVEN) years since you averaged more than us, and our lowest average over the last five years is still over 2,000 above your highest ever average.
Your average this season looks set to be 14,000, thats over 4,000 less than ours last season.
Still want to compare attendances?

They averaged more than us in 05, which was 4 years ago not 7 mate. Who gives a funk anyway.

Too early to get carried away just yet, we won at VP on the opening day ffs. I’ll start worrying if we aren’t picking up points in Nov/Dec.

The thing with Whelan is he is only in it for himself. Ok he has got us where we are but it has only been a mission to power his own ego and rake in more cash. He’s no Jack Walker that’s for sure.

Idiotic thing for him to say in the first place, but typical Whelan. He was right though, I’d rather watch English (preferably local lads) fighting for the badge than some of the mercenary twonks we’ve had in the last few years. Doesn’t always guarantee success though

Where is all the money going, Whelan’s pocket? A bit of transparency for once would be nice. How can Bobby be working on a shoestring budget ffs the television money is worth £30m a year
