Good luck to him and his future , good professional , 43 years in the game as a footballer and manager.
Maybe time to pack it all in however can see him being offered another job at some point.
Went off them when some
Of their tosser supporters invaded and ruined a Sunday league match at the DW a few seasons back.
Arrogant And deluded spring to mind , no major trophies for 66 years says it all.The second goal should never have been allowed but that said a very poor performance by recent standards.
The game plan seems to go out of the window at home games of late.
They played like we do away From home and reaped the rewards.
Think we will see more of the better teams playing like this going forward.
A big game on Saturday to make sure this was just a blip.Have seen vids from that lad and his dad before and they are generally respectful and decent and focus on the game rather than their pond life.
However a comment from a Chavvy supporter ( plenty of them to choose from )which I think was about Garcia though in the half time concourse segment was totally unacceptable and vile and he should have removed it.
Great win yesterday and Latics are by far the best team in the division in my opinion.
I wasn’t that bothered about promotion this season but now think it is inevitable looking at how good this Latics team is and how easily they destroy teams.
The force with which they attacked yesterday was premier league standard never mind the championship and it could easily have been more yesterday.A small club that have chosen the back yard of football to play in.
Will most certainly hold back the supporters which adds to the hassle
Also why do some
Of our supporters catch the train From Horwich parkway through Bolton town centre when you can fookin walk into Wigan from the ground ??A pity for Morecambe who would probably have welcomed the money a hefty 2-3000 strong Latics following would have brought to them.
Can reduce that quite a bit if they cancel this one given how tricky it can be to drive there in a rush hour, I know that from working up
that way a few years ago.
A shame as I
Am sure many marked that one down for a weekend away , day out in Lancaster etc.
Surely the clubs should have moved this one for a less favourable fixture , I thought they had options to do this ?Their presence in the town they purported to dominate and rule started to wane many years ago.
The fact that Latics now have the upper hand can be described in only one word KARMA although I doubt they will be evicted.
Back to the football and what a win and performance today , we
Looked superb and played really well in dreadful conditions.
Well done to the few hardy souls who paid good money for absolutely shite facilities, should have made room for them
In the stand.Best team I have seen so far , physical and hard working like a championship team really.
They will up there this season , bad night for us but stats show we were on top despite the defeat.9873
RIP
Great playerClubs like Forest would want a big name anyway which with the utmost respect is not Leam.
You have recent ex premier league managers like Howe and Wilder out of work at the moment and many more besides and the shelf life of a sacked manager getting another job is very short before they are forgotten and out of the game.
The list of big name managers who have been sacked and faded out of the game is massive.
Paul Jewell , Ian Holloway , Steve Mcclaren ,Alan Curbishley are just a few examples and i could go on and on.
I would change the rules and insist a club has to give a minimum of a two year contract and only revoke in event of gross misconduct.
Everyone would know where they stood and the normal cycles of winning and losing would take place without people becoming hysterical.
The best managers in the history of the game where given time to build up their teams Alex Ferguson, Bill Shankly,Matt Busby , Brian Clough and our own Paul Jewell are a few examples.Accrington played really well and gave 100% but totally outclassed and there is not much else you can say.
We looked like a championship team today and that was one of the best performances I have seen from a Latics team for many a year.
Only gripe is it could easily have been 8 or 9!Watch the highlights tonight and it’s happening everywhere now.
Not good and infantile and stupid , yellow cards should be dished out for it more than taking your top off to celebrate !
Could easily stop it , surprised the authorities let it go and punish for far less .Thoughts with them, horrible situation , chasing the dream of the premier league is very expensive and failure commonplace.
The parachute payments ensure its an even tougher task now .
Good luck to their supporters in the struggle ahead.8543
