I would have said Jewell but a Latics manager that deny s Arsenal and UTD a title and wins the FA cup in the last minute gets the nod for me !
I agree with you – our profile rose massively to such an extent that we were the leading headline during that escape last season.
That never used to be the case and. It annoys me when newly promoted clubs talk about just staying up when just 35 years ago a club came up and won the league aka Nottingham forest !
Who will be the first manager to mention that -Holloway is my tip!Back to back wins coming up I reckon!
hull city tigers FC why not Dulham FC -never has a name befitted a club more -never ever won a trophy -no fans – what’s the point????
one thing that stuck out me the other night with was the hunger and desire of those Doncaster players seizing their chance of playing in a higher league.
We started very brightly but came up against a fantastic goalkeeper and to be honest were VERY VERY lucky to get that point but what a great game of football and I enjoyed it despite the result.
it was a wake up call that we needed however we did extremely well to get back those two goals and I doubt we will be as sloppy on Sunday. The moaners should get behind the team and enjoy the new challenge and it’s coming to something when a so called small club lie doncaster bring more fans than the most pointless football club ever in Dulham.
Enjoy the moments and remember a league like this one is a marathon rather than a sprint and to be honest I thought our supporters were superb the other night .We may have lost the 3000 johnny come lately tossers who have probably deserted now we are not in the so called promised land but after the noise we made the other night are we any worse off?
looking forward to Sunday!Fatman cant offer him a trip to Wembley AGAIN or trips to foreign climbs or a great season because I think West Ham might struggle this year. They are the things that most players want to do in a career regardless of money and the club should Be tough from any approaches especially from clubs like West Ham.
Money is one thing but the chance of glory is another and the buzz being created by next season is as strong as I can remember for many years after the staleness of the premier league. What will be fatmans aim be next year ” forty points” with no doubt reserve teams played in the cups.he still has a. Lot to learn and I’m not sure that any club will pay top dollar for him.His play last year was precosious at best and I can’t see a club paying the 10 million that it would take to prise him away.If somebody is wiling to pay 15 to 20 million for McCarthy snatch their hands off !!!
is it true port vale are the only team with a name that is not a city, town or area?Crystal Palace
If Everton have actually forked out £5m for Kone then in my opinion they have been done ! Good business indeed !disagree given that he averaged a goal every three games for us and Carroll at West Drab cost 17 million and returned less than one in three ????
I’d value him at about 11 million at least if you talk about a goal being woth a million in the premier league- I liked him and am gutted he has left although I’m sure a bit of bench warming might be the order next season”Dose kenwright no the player the thin waiter is signing got relegated last season mite have a bet on that dose eneyone no what odds on Everton going down.
Just checked on Oddschecker….they are various prices from 21/1 to 28/1….7th least likely to go down.
Crystal Greenhouse and Dull are odds on to go down.
The bookies only get football that wrong, erm, once every 25 years :woohoo: :woohoo:
Dont know the odds, but my tip of the day would be us to finish higher in the Championship than Everton in their league ;)[/quote]
what about Dulham to join them( our replacement as the most unfashionable club) Aston Vile are another club that seem to be copying us with their best player chucking out the teddy to get his dream move!
No way!!
Rodellega showed nothing in his final season at Latics and Palaceous hasn’t shone for a while.
Your being nostalgic but.look where that got us last year signing Scharner back up when a little bit of shrewd investment might have kept the premier league status.
iA nothing club with major delusions of grandeur and very very fortunate to escape the drop in my view.I see no reason why things will be any different next season so why would take a sideways move like that to an area that is hardly the bright lights. 7 million is a joke – you can add another 3 to that minimum in my view!
I’d sit tight get some more experience and maybe the big move to a much better club with better prospects if he has a good start to next season.Im just looking forward to a really good season tbh whatever happens. Im looking forward to this one more than the past 7 seasons.I would be happy with C .
I looked forward to last season thinking we would press on after the brilliant end to 2011-2012 season so I going to refrain from getting too excited beforehand.
will be very surprised if A and b happens!Surprised Everton are prepared to pay 6.5 million for a 30 year old journeyman but not bad value for us. Thought Martinez would build for future more. Alcaraz at 31 is also a strange one but good luck to em both.A 6.5 journeyman maybe but one who scored goals in the league at a ratio of 1 in 3 means that’s a snip of a price and the club HAS to charge that price and no other!!!
Especially when you have Andy Carroll with the same hit rate last season costing nearly three times as much!Often wondered who the Alan Partridge voice was based on and now I Know!!
great little film by the way and shows Wigan in a good light-what we would give today for a man like Bernard Coyle on our council! -
