Add to that the total ineptitude shown by the U21s and U20s this summer in their tournaments and there does indeed seem to be something rotten in the state of Denmark aka the FA, but we all know the only football in this country started when the Premier League (spit) began.
As for the women’s team, it’s breathtaking just how far behind they’ve fallen in such a relatively space of time. I blame it on all this tippy-tappy football they play.
To be fair, I much prefer titty-tappy football.[/quote]

Saturday was the best day of my life, while yesterday was just another day. Disappointing, yes, but that’s about it. I’ve had far, far, far worse days than yesterday, but none better than Saturday. Wigan Athletic – FA Cup winners. Does that not bring a shiver down your spine?
Old Wolf – are you suggesting that Martinez should instruct his team to go out and play badly in hope of a win?
Playing badly isn’t an alternative to losing. The best way to win points is to go out and play as well as you can, which is what Wigan try to do.
Yes, that’s exactly what I mean
At this stage of the season, results are all that matter and not how you get them. The Martinez way has been ineffective for most of the season, just as it was today, but I’ll take any style of play that gets the results in this crucial time of the season, whether it be Allardyce’s hoofball or Martinez’ tippy-tappy.
Most fans accept that, in this day and age, it’s a red card offence and we probably wouldn’t be surprised at a retrospective ban. It would stick in the craw, though, if Callum was banned and Perch and Ameobi got off scot-free for their stamps in the same game. That would only go to confirm the bias the FA have towards us.
