I agree natdan, with the money Mourinho has had at his disposal and the embarassment of riches that he possesses within the squad you’d expect them to be considerably higher than 3rd in the table. Although a 6-1 spanking of Deportivo at the weekend has undoubtedly seen his stock rise I still don’t think Jose knows his best side and of course his defence first policy is a source of considerable frustration amongst the patrons of the Nou Camp even though it gets results. I’ve got news for you, nearly all the Wigan Athletic squad have British passports and if not have a work permit. They are indigenous, they live at work here in this fabulous multi-cultural society of ours ( which you seem to have a problem with ) unless you see someone with dark skin or a foreign accent and naturally consider them to not belong here?

There appears to be something of a lynch mob mentality about the manager on here and a few other places which is pathetic ( not all anti-bob posters grouped in that BTW ) No doubt quite a few were sharpening their knives and were gutted that we didnt roll over at Hartlepool last night and theyll have been rubbing their hands again tonight at the prospect of watching Spurs and knowing that theyll wallop us on Sat.
Simple fact is if you watched spurs tonight, city Monday, these teams are leagues ahead of us, as are Chelsea and yet still with our tiny support base people are expecting champagne football with the beer money we have.
What he has spent on transfers is largely irrelevant compared to the wage bill which is £42m nearly as much as the entire turnover. With agents fees, transfer fees, and overheads the club’s operating costs are around £60m per year. We’d have been insolvent years ago were it not for Whelans funding.
Dont like the man personally for the way he does business but it terms of WAFC, without Whelan we would never have got to the Premier league and nor would we have stayed here.
Feel free to chip in with 40 or 50 million of your own ( which youll probably never get back ) if you care so deeply.

Sorry but I won’t be joining this boycott. I supported Latics when we were bottom of the entire league and I will continue to support us this year and next.
There are serious problems at the club at the moment but hopefully the true fans will stick around and we will get through it and all the hangers who can’t handle a bit of a rough ride will go back to whoever they were watching before :roll:

I have made this thread about rugby. I do enjoy reading the latics forum, and watch the game supporting them. However some of the utter b*ll*cks you chat is beyond me.I cant actually believe you hate “the worriers” or whatever you call them. I read all the warriors forums aswell as the latics, and as much as you like to think you dont get half as much of a mention as you think you do.
There are only a couple of reasons i can think of you as to the reason you dont like them:
A because you dont understand the sport of rugby league
or
B because you dont like the fact that other than a carling cup final. latics have done absolutely f*ck all and have a highest finished spot of 10th in the premier league, and in the last few season they have appeared to finish just above the relegation zone. Whereas have always been right up there in the sport of rugby league.
I dont really give a sh*t if theres more money in football or theres more competition, because the matter of the fact is, is that wigan warriors are competiting at the highest level they possibly can and latics appear to be right down there amongst the worst in the premier league.
I dont care if we share a stadium, the fact is we have a 50 year lease on the stadium you cant change it, either you build us a stadium with the same capacity and facilities or build you one. You cant just cancel our lease, because we could just take you to court, and win a hell of a lot of cash, probably enough to make you end up like portsmouth.
Fine we havent won a major trophy in 7 years, a bit of a dry spell but we have been competiting well this season.
I also cant understand why you are so desperate to beat us with crowds. Its like your trying to pull each clubs pants down to see which has the biggest pair of balls.
So what if Wigan RL got 22,700 at the wire game and hold the record for record attendance at the stadium.
Likewise who cares if we only get 12,000. We have that base of support were we get 11,000 wiganers week in week out. Yet again competiting at the top of RL for attendance, unlike latics whose attendace is poor and would still be considered poor in the championship.
All im gonna say now, is just grow the f*** up.

My darts and dominoes team is full of local lads, I’m very proud of them. The only problem is nobody has neither heard nor cares about them outside of Whelley…..
