The draw for the semi-finals of the FA Cup will take place from approximately 4pm (UK time) on Sunday.
The draw for the quarter finals took place at around the same time. One game was still in progress and one was yet to start.
So we should know what we are playing for.
I’m not a great fan of TV and I’ve never bought a boxed set, so I can’t really comment. Or am I allowed to criticise all the same?
Anyway, I’ve just found out that the complete series of I Didn’t Know You Cared is available as a boxed set.
Was it a sit com? Not really. It was a comedy drama taken from the books of inspired writing by Peter Tinniswood. And the casting was extraordinary too. Then Uncle Mort took on a life of his own.
Sometimes it’s almost as funny as Bottom Four Bob. Yes, really.
I haven’t heard anything about the draw for the semi-finals.
I just hope we’re in it.
Manchester City have provided some information for supporters in regard to works being completed around the Eithad Stadium that may impact on fans travelling to Sunday’s game.
In order to ensure that service diversion works can be carried out safely, hoardings have been erected at the South end (away end) of the Etihad Stadium.
This impacts the amount of space immediately outside the visiting supporters entrances and may impact queuing and access through these entrances; click here for stadium plan. To assist fans arriving at the stadium, both additional signage and staff will be in place.
To ensure that supporters enter the stadium via the correct entrances, there will be an additional soft ticket check upon arrival. The advice therefore to all visiting supporters is to arrive early to avoid any delays when entering the stadium.

But they need the money!

Manager has to be Alex Ferguson…
I believe Sir Alex likes a glass of red wine, but is he really addicted to it?
He’s not a candidate for manager in my eyes. But, then, I haven’t been out on the town with him. Others may know him better.
He can hardly compare with Brian Clough; “In January 2003, the 67-year-old Clough underwent a liver transplant; 30 years of heavy drinking had taken its toll.”
Manager has to be Alex Ferguson…I thought edinburghlatic was upset that Griff didn’t accept his suggestion. But what is Sir Alex addicted to? Success perhaps?

Apart from a quite ridiculous suggestion of Alex Ferguson, nobody has managed to come up with anyone that we hadn’t already considered.

Garrincha spent the majority of his wealth on alcohol and extravagant luxuries. At just 49 he died of cirrhosis of the liver.
George Best died in hospital aged 59 after multiple organ failure.
Garrincha was the quicker.
Injured midfielder Ben Watson has agreed terms on a one-year contract extension with Wigan Athletic.
Seems a reasonable deal for Ben in the circumstances.
Keith Gillespie gambled away earnings of £7,215,875
“And that’s only a conservative sketch of the incomings. It doesn’t include boot deals, promotional appearances, Northern Ireland match fees, libel settlements and all the other elements that come with the territory.”
And he’s still in trouble.
28 FEBRUARY 2014
Retired Premier League footballer Keith Gillespie appeared in court in handcuffs today after a judge ordered his arrest. He had been due to appear charged with breaching a non-molestation order on January 21 this year by being “in the vicinity of the Hamilton Road”.
A lot of ifs there, Phil. I can’t see them all going our way.
Burnley are very much the team in form at the moment. And one of our games in hand is against Leicester.
We’ll discuss this further after the weekend.
If we play consistently well, we will make the play offs.
I doubt that we will make the top two, but it depends not only on our form but also that of the teams above us.
The play-offs are cup ties and we don’t know who the opponents will be.
The semi finals are two-legged, so the random element is reduced.
The final is a single game – and anything can happen in the final.
’CHAMPIONS’ and that’s what I’ll be singing Sunday, u lot can pretend to be in a church very sad .We’ll be playing for the FA Cup on Sunday. We want to win the cup – again.
I’d rather belong to the long tradition of FA Cup winners.
Interesting? Really? We already know that there is a group of Wigan fans who have decided to call Wigan FA Cup Champions.
This just takes us back to ES2, where all this nonsense started. Are we going to accept all their chants as correct?
“Los médicos del Club Wigan al cual pertenece Espinoza ha remitido un informe clínico sobre su condición física actual”, leía el comunicado de la federación catracha. “Mismo que ha evaluado el Medico de la Selección Raúl Pérez quien coincide con el reporte remitido desde Inglaterra creyendo prudente que su recuperación sea en Inglaterra por el termino establecido”.
