Course not Griff, but we’d all have to get on with our jobs….try throwing your toys out of the pram at work and see how long you have a job for. What Terry has done to his ex-mate isn’t clever, but Bridge should act like a man and get on with it, fair enough, blank him tomorrow, but if he cant work with a fellow footballer for the good of his team or country, then he isnt a proper professional in my book. Footballers dont have to like each other, they just have to work together for the common good of their team.

They can get tickets for £30 for 6 games and they’re still moaning…..if it cost them as much as it costs us to watch all our games (h & a), they’d get about 3,000 on.

Can’t believe what Bridge has done…..one of the most unprofessional things I’ve ever seen (and that includes Zaki disappearing 4 times). He’s thrown away the chance to play in the World Cup with a team that has a good chance of going a long way, because he doesn’t like 1 of his 22 potential team mates. If he is so proud to be a footballer he should put aside his personal differences for the good of his team (or country in this case).

Incidentally, what would he have done if he were still a Chelsea player, put in a transfer request and refused to train?

For a club our size £30 a game is too high, even if it is just for 1 or 2 games. However I was responding to the question about the crowd if it was free against Liverpool, just making the general point that in my opinion, the support we get from the people of this town (and the support the egg chasers get), is appalling in my view. I know we’re not the biggest town, but surely for 2 top flight clubs, we should be able to attract a combined gate of close to at least 34-35K regularly, especially with the ST prices both offer.

In fairness though, it isnt just Wigan that doesn’t bother, apparently last week v Fulham, Bolton were offering lad and dad tickets for £12…empty seats everywhere

I’m all for trying to get more people in but….”incentives for those who commit to more than a single game”, what’s all that about, come to 2 games and get 3 free??? We play 19 home games a season, our season isnt just about when Utd/Liverpool/Arsenal come to town.

Our ST prices are low enough, if you can be 99% certain of getting to at least 15 home games, there’s no excuse for not paying less than £20 a game.

Not a chance, its on telly and it’ll be on in the pubs and on the net. Wigan would by and large sit on its backside, shake its head at even the slightest error from the players and then wonder from its armchair why the stadium isnt full and we get slated by the media for poor crowds.

Possibly could have got something out of the game, but Spurs were the better side. That said, Wiley was an absolute joke, every 50-50 went their way. His “big club” bias was summed up perfectly in the space of 30 seconds when he had words with Huddlestone and then booked McCarthy for 2 similar offences….and managers ask for consistency, we cant even get it from refs within the same minute now!!

As for their first goal, it was only 2 yards offside, but can’t blame Wiley for that, down to the clueless idiot with the flag.

Why should anyone who went today be considered a “super fan”? I was there today, dont regard myself as a super fan, just a fan of the club. Some people should try it, I realise its a novel concept to some, sticking by the team when they’re struggling. We can all sit at home and watch it on t’internet or go and watch it in the pub, but thats not supporting the team, getting off your backside and getting down to the stadium is.

We’re struggling at the moment, need people to stick by the team, not be labelled “super fans” simply because they make the effort to get down there and support them.

How about winage, or will that spoil your weekend….you’ll have nothing to be critical of Martinez for then.

Exactly Griff, WHU have already played Pompey twice. Pompey have to play the likes of us, Burnley, Wolves, Hull. Gold/Sullivan’s money might mean they dont go ahead with trying to get their own transfer window and can use a full-strength team in those fixtures. Benefits all clubs who dont have to play them again, WHU being one.

So another club’s chairman offers to lend money to Portsmouth, to enable them to avoid selling players and be able to use all their current squad in matches against other relegation candidates, this club has played Portsmouth twice and would lose ground on other strugglers if Pompey were liquidated. Is anyone suprised that the club is West Ham Utd?

It’ll be more competitive but then again if you win enough Championship games, you end up back in the Premier League…..if we went down and werent challenging at Christmas, some people would be moaning we werent winning the matches to get us back into the league, they seem to want us to leave. How the hell does that work???

Didn’t they have 2 “serious” potential new investors according to what they told the High Court last week? They seem to have failed to materialise, funnily enough.

Don’t know what it is with the pitch, but it always seems to be around this time of year, that said I dont really think its anything to do with the Warriors, it was poor at the Notts game and I dont think they’d played then.
