Confident we’ll take well over 2k to Doncaster, People have been more concerned with Blackpool and Burton tickets, there’s not the same urgency over next week, its not all ticket and everyone knows there’ll be no problems with tickets or pay on day as we can have up to 4,000 there
We can’t be officially promoted at Donny, at best we could be on 83, with Walsall being able to match us and Gillingham only able to get 82.
Think Burton might be the game, that’s the one result I’m convinced of..we will beat them. Can see with everyone playing that night, us and Burton both being promoted that night
Amazing prices just got even better and people are supposedly moaning about being “duped”….only in Wigan.
Not sure how with such low prices we can build a team effectively with FFP rules, but purely from what we’re paying to hopefully watch Championship football its a massive well done to the Chairman and all at Wigan Athletic. Hopefully the town will back the club in larger numbers with the prices as a real incentive.
Onwards and Upwards
Last time we scored 5 away was at Hull, 2009 I think
Pearce for me….odd error apart, he’s been excellent since Malky signed him. Been Mr Consistency all season
Walsall were due to play Gillingham on Friday/Sat, not sure who they should have played Easter Monday. Terrible time to schedule internationals that for clubs in L1, we got lucky that Grigg hasn’t been selected, but hard on Walsall that they now have a hectic fixture list, not like they have 25 internationals to chose from and could have played their 2 games.
Heard we were up to coach 13 and then coach 15 on Tuesday..so not really sure, but would guess we’re probably up to around 700….imagine quite a few tickets will be sold tomorrow
Greg Dyke and the FA have overseen the ruin of their own completion and these changes if they happen, would just about complete it.
In recent times we’ve seen FA Cup final replays gone, Semi-final replays gone, SF’s at Wembley, 5.30 kick offs, National Anthem not played when Cardiff got to the final and the biggest disgrace of all, other competitive football matches being played on the same day as the Final of the greatest domestic sporting knock-out completion on the planet.
FA have shown for years that they’re not fit to run their own competition and are just chasing the money. If the Champs League clubs don’t like the cup as it is, just don’t take part….should be as simple as that, let the clubs that care about the cup play it in.
He was poor today the ref, but no more than the usual standard for this league. There are some absolute shockers around though
Didn’t go near the stadium, but did see a tweet from Greg Farrimond (WEP) about 1 pm, said that cars were turning round on Scott Lane as it was flooded near the stadium. Asda roundabout was flooded which meant only one of the 2 roads near the stadium was accessible safely.
Can’t agree with the point about it going ahead if it was a PL game….if that was the case, why didn’t the Villa or Bolton game (2009) get played. Think the council would have been too busy sorting blocked/flooded roads and making sure people were safe than worrying about a football match which can be played anytime in the next 5 months.
Definitely finished 3-0….they were desperate to get the game abandoned so played their centre forward (Peter Beadle I think) at full back in 2nd half hoping that he’d foul David Lee enough to get himself sent off
It was Zulte’s first in the home game, perhaps one of those incidents where he was thinking who to throw it to before he’d caught it and took his eye off the shot. Seemed harsh that the one error led to him not really being given a chance. On the other hand, he’s been with us for years now, should really be impressing and pushing for a first team place, but have all the managers since Coyle really been wrong? Maybe he just hasn’t developed as we all thought he might.
Thought he had a smashing game today, worked really hard…something I’m not sure he’s always done. As has been said, fed on scraps, put an a cracking ball in the box early on, could have done with him being on the end of his own pass.
Hard working performance from Will and the team today, not pretty but back on the winning horse.
Sunderland…big ground, big support but when it comes to getting to finals and winning stuff, they’re just a **** Middlesbrough
Didn’t think we played that well yesterday, but it was a good point all the same….totally agree about the pen. As for the away fans, great support, heard announcement over PA and I thought they’d said 560 from Wigan.
