Enough of your bitching and sniping im struggling to see how a player who is yet to start a game this season and has only played for 120 minutes from the bench can hit the ground running? Surely as we approach the business end of the season we need someone who wont need two months to regain a modicum of match fitness. Cardiff fans seem to suggest he is overweight and unfit at present. Surely weve had enough of players in those categories!
Given its was on Sky he was at their game this afternoon it’s hardly surprising. Am sure if he was as impressive as some on here seem to think one of our last three Managers would have given him game time. It’s not like we have been blessed with an abundance of striking talent in the time he has been here. Have to say on the occasions I have seen him I haven’t been impressed so if he goes we should trust Uwe’s judgement and move on.
Why should the BBC give a toss? 20000+ that went to Wembley disrespected you yesterday – I’d be more annoyed at their disrespect.
As will happen when Wigan Warriors start their defence of the cup.
It’s not disrespect, it’s Wiganers being too tight to spend an extra £10
Come on mutty. You throw these comments in then dont respond. Wigan rugby have taken 30k to Wembley before now yet have had 4k on for cup games. Sunderland lost 21k fans today. What makes us such a disgrace?
Am presuming Roslers comments today ‘I have spoke to David Moyes and I cant say much but as you can tell I have a huge smile on my face’ doesnt mean hes leaving!
Coincidence? Roger starts. Best result of season. Ran himself into the ground. Maybe now he will get the chance he deserves. The return of Ali and 3 clean sheets is also worthy of a mention. Oh and Uwe coming in!
Why would it be bigger? TV revenue is the same for all the teams. Thats the difference between the Premier league and leagues like Spains where the TV revenue isnt split equally and Real and Barca get 5 x the income of many.in the league.
This makes interesting reading: http://www.the-wanderer.co.uk/boards/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=25217&start=20
What an amazing job Dave Whelan has done for our club. With practically no debt he has taken us from a club ranked 90th in the.country with crowds of 1200 to a club just finishing 8 years in the top league, an FA cup win, a European adventure with an average of 15,000 now in the Championship. It may not be this year but am convinced he will get us back up in the next two seasons.
Some folk are beyond clueless. Our midfield lacked composure all afternoon. Mccann, Macarthur and Maclean all blazed over or made the wrong decision when in the final third. Still. Lets find a way of attacking a lad who played for 8 minutes, worked his stones off and made some decent passes. Unbelievable.

It will be a proud moment for our club if this ever happens. Amazing that some on here are still doubting his talents!
Firstrow.org
They dont have em all on but games like bournemouth, leicester and a couple of others have been on.
Anyone know if the game is on in any pubs
We are in the championship now, there is no chance of finding a live stream for a Saturday match 3pm KO.
The only time you will get one is if and when we are live on SS or BT. :(
I must have imagined watching around 4 such games on foreign TV then this season!
At odds of 1-8 it looks likely.
Got bollocks eh? Hes dead right. He inherited a relegated side thats used to losing games for years. The team dont have a winning mentality and never have had. People let two games in a cup run shroud their judgement.
If we know anything about Whelan its that he wont be bullied by fans. Remember the Martinez out chants alongside the banners. Fickle lot are singing his name today. Win our game in hand and we are well placed. About time some on here got it in perspective. We dont have a god given right to be in the premier league.
Kone different class to Holt and Fortune. Thats why so many Premier league teams wanted him.
Di Santo though not great was an Argentinian international who was at least mobile.
Alcaraz positionally superb but not a million miles better than Barnett
Mccarthy better than any midfielders we have hence why so many were interested, why we received so much money for him and why he is receiving praise at Everton.
Robles one of best upcoming Spanish keepers versus player who was deemed not good enough to play in Prem and as we have seen in games is prone to errors.
Figgy miles better than current left back. Shotton pretty woeful with ball but ok at centre half. Thats why hes being released at Stoke.
Powells half decent but wont play at United. Maloneys been badly missed for sure.
We never scored many under Bobby and dont now. Coyle inherited a team that was used to losing games and had spent years in bottom 4. Hardly a team on the up. Im not saying I expected to be 13 points behind but have these other teams sold 15 million pounds worth of players replacing em with freebies? If they hadnt been on frees Figgy and Alcaraz wouldnt have gone cheap. Have other teams brought as many as we have in with the extra games on top? Its been hard to build consistency.
Aye. Hes only approaching 23 having made his debut 4 years ago. Hes played 50 games now. Not sure this compares to an 18 year old Sterling. Anyway. Lets blame Coyle despite the fact hes probably played 5 decent games for us in his career!
5 on some with Charity shield. So on many occasions we have had to play twice in a week when they have played once. You cant compare travelling to Russia to playing a league cup game. These arent excuses but facts.
Im no great Coyle fan but squad wise its fair to say he took on a crazy recruitment drive in a short period of time. Carry on with your Coyle out campaign if it lights your candle but dont forget he walked into a squad on their way out despite the fact we won a cup.
