Funny that when Big Daves just been on radio saying its a done deal and BBC have it as officially completed.
If I can get people carrier will sort nearer time. Mind you. Its nearly 3 month off!
Now then Tyldesley. 3 of us lads on Wed to Fri from Stanstead if ya wanna share lift to cut price?
Booked hull to zeebrugge on ferry wednesday night coming back Friday. Less than 90 notes a piece for 5 of us. Then just booked easyjet from stanstead to ljubljana which is about 70 miles from maribor their and back for less than hundred quid each. Now. On to Kazan!
On second thoughts Garswood having looked at previous draws and schedules there seems no link between seeds and numbers so im probably wrong.
Given we are set to be seeded in the third pot then is it correct to confirm the following?
1st matchday: 2 v 3 4 v 1 Wigan Away on 19 September
2nd matchday: 1 v 2 3 v 4 Wigan Home on 3 October
3rd matchday: 3 v 1 2 v 4 Wigan Home on 24 October
4th matchday: 1 v 3 4 v 2 Wigan Away on 7 November
5th matchday: 3 v 2 1 v 4 Wigan Home on 28 November
6th matchday: 2 v 1 4 v 3 Wigan Away on 12 DecemberThe cameras may well be focussed on certain areas but i would doubt that they are doing their job as despite the flares being released for a while thats the first time i have seen someone ejected! Most of the time its like being back at school as some gormless steward walks up the steps as if hes looking for somebody, glaring and then walks back down as if its a case of the first one to laugh gets thrown out. Pure amateurs.
Its hardly rocket science to put a camera for the entire match on certain sections as the flares in our end are in the same row every time. Surprised it hasnt been mentioned here that one got thrown in ES2 at the Doncaster game and a lad ejected.
After seeing the rubbish we have been served up so far I wish he was still here. You could at least see a plan even if it didn’t always work. Fortune yesterday started off up front and ended up right back at start of second half before ending up back up front. Its OK signing 8 new players but if 7 are complete gash it’s a waste of money. This Honduran lad must be bad if Craineys playing in front of him, Perch ain’t a centre half, McCann out of his depth, Fortune a journeyman and giving that Grant a 3 year deal looks terrible business already. For a supposed handful his arial ability looks woeful so far whilst he has a job to move at times. I really hope im proved wrong but it’s difficult to be positive given the last 3 performances. Onwards and upwards.
We always play terrible after international break don’t we? I’ll reserve criticism till I’ve watched us play a few home games. You get odd results early on in the season. Worry for me is this knock it long to Holt tactic. Be don’t seem to win many long balls and it isolates our midfield as many have pointed out.
Given his goalscoring record I can’t see why the hell anyone would want him. He has had three clubs in this country and been pretty woeful for all of them. Given Roberto was aways bigging him up why is he not at Goodison? Then to compound matters when I tried to find news on where he might pop up I found this:
Are people forgetting that Mccarthy is under contract till 2016? He signed a 5 year deal in 2011. This is why he has such a high transfer fee touted and why we only sell on our terms. Similarly Maloney must have known in January we could well have gone down so why did he sign a 3 year deal? Given he is appproaching 31 I see no reason why any fee he would command would compensate for his loss. Out the two I would keep Maloney for sure. Most games I hardly notice Mccarthy is on the pitch.
The worlds gone mad if someone’s prepared to pay 15 million for a player who has played around 4 good games in the last 3 years in and around our squad scoring the grand total of two goals in the process. No doubt he had a cracking game in the cup final but can’t remember many league games where he sat the game alight. Be great to see him stay but if someone wants to offer silly money I would snatch their hand off. Same with McCarthy for that matter. The only players I would insist on keeping are Mcarthur and Maloney who can be relied on most weeks.
Mate of mine is a Swansea an and is absolutely livid about them being linked with Di Santo since West Brom pulled out. With a goal record of one in eleven I’m amazed anybody could want to sign him at the top level. Must be some decent agents about!
Cant believe some are complaining. Last year he finished the season scoring 15 for Norwich in prem. This is more than any buggers ever scored for us. So he is in his 30s. Isnt Kone? Another great signing. We may be stronger this season than last at this rate.
