These figure give a false impression, as some of the Big transfer fees received during Martinez’s tenure were for players that were here when he came i.e. Catermole, Valencia, N’Zogbia, I aint saying all his signings were bad ones but some of them cost a lot of money for not much talent.

Garswood.. Do the Latics now own the DW then??? That article isn’t to clear? (I checked with my mate just in case I had been dreaming it) and he confirms that there was a statement in the Observer or WEP a couple of years ago saying that Dave Whelan was going to give the ground to the Latics. It should work both ways If you sign a contract it is binding on both parties If Wigan had sacked Martinez before his contract was up they would have to pay compensation. Likewise if Martinez in effect sacks Wigan then Wigan should get the same compensation deal be it from Martinez or from the club he goes to.
Do these managers think the fans or THICK.. Resign from one job then three days later join another club… :(Lets see who Martinez REALLY rates when he comes shopping for bargains…
