Thing is that this is the 3rd time in recent weeks – Scharner at Macca (was Macca’s fault), Caldwell at Ali at Chelsea (was poor keeping by Ali) and now Boyce/Mac (was defo Boyce at fault), plus Boyce/Ramis a couple of months ago – which is 4 more times than I can ever recall. Don’t remember any spats during our very dark days last season or the season before – do you?
Equal possession, twice as many shots………haven’t I heard this before ???
They are stats – sinple as that.
In fact they ARE actual facts, as opposed to the statements that kicked off this thread!
In their next three games Aston Villa play;
Home to Man City
Away to Reading
Home to QPRSo it’s true that next weekend, Wigan will be back in the bottom three – with an away game at Manchester City as their game in hand.
Wigan’s next three league games are;
Home to Newcastle
Home to Norwich
Away to QPRThree points or more will make a big difference.
Can’t see us picking up many points from now, until end of season. Can see Newcastle doing us, a draw V Norwich, and getting beat by QPR.
I think we’re going down….but I have done for a long time. Ah well.
For about 8 seasons now eh Dave ;)
Sorry Dave, but maybe apart from #3, none of those statements are actually facts…
the best team to visit us this season. Now THAT is absolute cack!
Mr B get a grip.Better players under manager who is moving forward.move on.Factually correct, but not the reason for that poor result today. We made an average side look good, by gifting them 4 cheap goals, constantly losing the ball and playing with no intensity until we shifted formation. Reina was their best player, rescuing a jittery back 4 that we didn’t press/test enough.
And as for the in-fighting – twice now in the space of 3 league games…and twice more than I can ever recall in nearly 30 years following the tics.
What a waste – I bet there isn’t a day goes by when he doesn’t kick himself for what he did.
Tough call for the ref – do you follow the letter of the law or do you appeal to the sense of occasion and sportsmanship. Don’t think he had much choice to be honest, though I think Laudrup out of anyone would have been sportsmanlike about it.
Have to say I was rooting for Bradford (who apart from Swansea fans weren’t?), although my allegiance changed at 3-0 when all wanted was for them to take our unenviable place as the heaviest losers in a league cup final :P
Does anybody know who owns / has anyone ever seen W1 GAN?
Yes Kone will start and yes, I would imagine Di Santo will too. Before the African Nations started we had a front 3 of Franco, Kone and Maloney. I would expect that to remain the same now Kone’s back.
Agreed – though I still don’t get why Bob didn’t play another striker in place of Kone while he was away.
I think the fact that the FA Cup game finished with most of our first team on the pitch is telling too.
Dunno about the Moyes bit ABL. I think he will stick around here until the Man Utd job crops up. Think people may have been whispering in his ear.
My scenario is, If UTD win the Champions League, Fergie will step aside so Mourinho can take over. If Fergie doesn’t step down, Mancini will be sacked and Mourinho will go to City. Possibly Moyes to Chelsea for the Martinez thing to happen.
Moyes link to a move to Bundesliga is all over Blue Kipper, a major Everton site.
I do fancy Mourinho for United job though. A shoe-in I reckon.
Fergie stated a couple of week ago ABL that he is to keep going another 2 seasons so dont see the chosen one there at all and I just dont see Moyes abroad tho may be wrong. As for Chelsea christ knows coz Abramovich has,nt a clue so it could be anybody.Citeh is the interesting one especially if they lift the FA Cup.I wouldnt gamble anything on Mancini staying or going and as for Bobby he will be here im sure.
Won’t be Mourinho or Moyes – Guardiola is going to succeed Ferguson. His 3 year move to Bayern is perfect staging to keep him out of the EPL and prepped to take over at Old Trafford in 2 seasons time.
Wants us to be the 12 man for the remainder of the season….
Maybe we should try to be, instead of majority of people sitting there just waiting for a bad pass or something to shout out some stupid one liner they think is funny/clever that they’ve probably been thinking up all week. ;)
“F*CK OFF SLOW-MEZ..”…*Looks around for recognition and/or a laugh*
Had a pair of knuckedraggers (father and son) behind me at Chelsea doing exactly that every kick for the first 20min until I asked why the fcuk they bothered to spend £50 on a ticket. Just got a load more eloquent abuse back in return (F off, dickhead!) but rather they were having a go at me and after that they did shut up.
Article in today’s Torygraph has him praising the meet n greets too:
““Sometimes it comes externally. I remember last season before we played West Brom at home and as the players came to the stadium all the fans were waiting. It was like the players were woken up and it took all the pressure away. These incidents help the dynamic.”
Think he’s done better for us as a CB rather than an LB, but not too fussed if he goes.
Thing I don’t get is that the papers are saying this is a done deal, but how can that be if he’s still under contract to us? If it has happened that’s basically tapping up and would unsettle him in our final push.
Strong whiff of more Daily Mail bull5hit methinks.Said to my mate at the match yesterday that Ali’s not been the same since he had his kid earlier in the season. Clearly suffering from new dad exhaustion / Swiss cheese brain.
