Can’t see what the big deal is. So they’ve changed sponsors, so what? It happens all the time.

Thanks really to the shite Judas Bob left us in when he jumped ship! Coyle was a rush job brought in to bring players in that could work in the Championship. The slow start was down to uMartinez not Coyle.Granted Coyle wasnt up to the job and Uwe has done great to pick up the pieces but the slow start was down many factors other than Coyle and one big contributing factor was Roberto Martinez.

I’m now convinced that, as Filmoss said a few days ago, Donny’s Page is just a wind-up merchant. No-one can be that deluded.

Looks very like May 9th, QPR – Home – First Leg

Austin (and Doyle) back for QPR tonight; scored last minute winner, went off injured (bad one, hopefully !).

Beat Blackpool, then I trust UR will tinker to perfection (Brum, Rovers), to get the lads set up for what is going to be a tough old 2-legger. Loftus Road not our favourite hunting ground …

2-0 defeat today could be a blessing in disguise .. one lousy 45 mins. in the play-offs, and promotion may become a distant dream. Can’t be allowed to happen. Rather now than then. A timely reminder how quickly things can go pear-shaped !

Today, was never going to be our ‘Cub Final’ (no prizes handed out) was though for Burnley.

In Uwe we trust … B)

No prizes. Our team shouldnt need a prize to beat a team who are 2nd in the league.dont make cheap excuses hey pal. ;)
no cheap excuse, just facing facts .. ‘battle / war’, mean anything to you ? this season’s a marathon .. I’ll settle now for winning the really important games (3 – yet to come) by which time we’ll have played 63 /64 this season. Sure you would too …

As one said earlier on BBC Sport, with the squad we’ve got we should be TOP 2 – thanks to good old OC we’ve been in catch-up mode for a good while, credit to UR we should hopefully claim a play-off berth with 2 to play, and have had a great run in the Cup, … give credit where its due, mate .. and think bigger picture
We have let sum games go through changein the sqaud.going off 2days game no team in the playoffs will fear us.For Battle/War 2days 1st half we surrenderd.2nd half was a case of we tried but retreated.or did O.C take the medals. ;)
(try again) … ?????
I think someone had a little drinky-poos! ;)

smells of a give away this one
if not then how shyte are we really, but ill stick with us throwing this one

I thought exactly the same, matey – only thig that threw me was playing Gomez, rather thena rest him, too. Maybe he just thinks he’s indispensible.

    in reply to: Dicko #130133
Personally I like to see a player play before making judgment, just didn’t get the chance to judge with Dicko. He has scored goals with nearly all the teams he has played for! With our dire shortage of strikers I would have taken a punt on keeping him till the end of the season..

3 managers did see him before making their judgement.

I’m really looking forward to tomorrows game.

I just hope they take Utd apart like they did Arsenal.

Me too. I have Lukaku in my fantasy team so I hope he scores. But I also have Evra in defence, so he really needs to score at least 2.

Well we’ve been ignored yet again by SKY.

Tomorrow they are showing Burnley – Blackpool
    Saturday Leicester – QPR
Monday Leeds (for the 50th time this season) – Forest.

I’d argue our games against Reading and Burnley have more at stake given Leicester and Burnley are already promoted and Leeds and Forest have no chance anyway.

Really pisses me off – we’ve been on Sky twice this season.

Why? If you go to the game, why are you even arsed if it’s on the tele or not?
Yes I’ll be there tomorrow but I won’t be at Turf Moor.

My point is that they still favour the perceived big clubs Leeds being a prime example even though they’ve been shite for years they’ve been on Sky loads of times.

We’ve been ignored and it’s not fair is it?

    That’s why I’m arsed!! :)
Who cares?

in reply to: Men against Boys…. #130062

An excellent performance all round today. The defense were rarely tested, but strong when necessary, the midfield completely ran the show and we looked like scoring every time we went forward.
Probably one of, if not, the best performance of the season.

    Agreed. A brilliant performance.

Roger just about shaded MOTM for me. He deserved it for the effort he put in.
MacArthur put as much effort in and played better, IMO.

I think they may be annoyed that we are not reaping in as much telly money as the “bigger” clubs…………and they may have a point.

Given the complete lack of understanding of football finances displayed by many on here on a regular basis, I doubt that has even entered their heads.

I will not stand by and take shit off club wembley members who are Arsenal fans , I appolagise to the wigan fans around me today but when some tossers above me are giving it to us F off, official complaint in

Was there any point at all to you posting that?

If European Cup winners can sing about themselves being Champions then I can’t see a problem with us singing about it either.

You mean the Champions League? yes, I can see why you can’t see a probem with it.

Good to hear a few renditions of YAMS as well, although we still haven’t mastered the words to that, either.
Is that the same Champions League that starts and finishes with a knock out Cup format, or perhaps the same as the World Cup Winners who have been through a League format to qualify for the Cup knock out stage.

In the past haven’t the World Cup finalists qualified from being top of a League group, in fact if this old fading memory of mine serves me correct, haven’t the finalists, on occasion, had to qualify by winning TWO mini Leagues

If this is the case, and looking at YOUR criteria of what the FA Cup winning team should be known as, should the World Cup winners not be referred to as World Champion League winners or just World Champions

Just an after thought, wasn’t that tournament your own beloved Manchester United, ditched the FA Cup for known as the World Club Championships and the Winners became the World Club Champions despite it being a knockout competition.
At the risk of repeating myself for the hard of thinking and reading (that’ll mainly be you, then) my criteria has never been about the literal validity of referring to the FA Cup Winners as Champions. My criteria has always been that, in 142 years of the competiton, nobody, but nobody has ever referred to themselves as FA Cup Champions apart from Wigan Athletic.

You might say that makes us unique. I would say it makes us look a bit daft.

So, my bit in bold on the Champions league was probably a bit of a non-argument. However, it appears to have given you some great opportunities to use the bold function, and haven’t you done a good job of it? Well done, you!

Within minutes of Arsenal wrestling the crown from our heads a large group passing us as we headed back to the coaches were singing an update version

“you’re not any more, you’re not any more, FA cup champions, you’re not any more”

Don’t you think there was a chance they were being ironic?
