Instead of answering all these dic kheads who have amazingly come on tneet let me say Bobby will be here and wont be sacked so thall best get used to it :D

youve spotted all the new comers aswell, thirty. They dont want to use there origanal board names because WHEN bob turns it round, they will all turn round sayin i backed him all the way never doubted bob would turn it round
Wigan is my team and has been for the last 30+ years and will be till death us do part. I don’t believe in booing the team but am not surprised that people do as we are a disgrace. Bob’s signings on the whole have been cr@p he is tactically inept and we have absolutely no team spirit.

He will not turn things around although I still think we will stop up because as bad as we are I believe there are worse teams than us. He keeps saying we are growing as a team not!!!! We are getting worse and even if we stop up I wouldn’t keep him next year he is clueless.

Anyone who states an opinion is a FACT (no matter how many exclamation marks follow it) deserves to be ignored.

I see your not disagreeing with me over what I wrote?

And if I should be ignored then why didn’t you?

        Just a question.

How the hell did he get MOTM? He can’t tackle and his sole contribution was to pass the ball back to Bramble and Scharner every chance he got. I thought Bob said he was a creative midfielder. I know it’s early days and we have to give him a chance but he don’t look anything special to me.

          Get a grip, he’s f**kin class.

One of the best players, on the ball, we have ever seen in a Latics shirt. Never stopped running, never stopped looking for openings, the guy is quality. A very intelligent player.

Have a bit of patience, for f**ks sake!
Sorry Vat69 but not sure what you have been watching this year but Gomez is absolute rank.

Can’t tackle, head a ball, pass a ball forward, milk turns quicker never looks like scoring yeah he has been a revelation.

And yes I do remember Pat Gavin, Jeff Wright, John Robertson etc. Gomez is just not good enough for the Premiership FACT!!!!

For me they should both start as we need a change as it’s not working at the moment especially in front of goal.

They have to be better than Scotland surely

He should stay. Even if we bring Pele in to manage us he will be criticised. Remember one thing, Bob has the heart of a Wigan fan we wont get that anywhere else.

Wait and see what happens this weekend, and thats the beauty of football !

Bob did play for us granted but lets not kid ourselves he is here to further his career!!!!

It’s a job and if a big club came calling he would jump ship like everyone else.

He won’t get sacked, but out of the ones you mention the right man to get us out of the sh1t would be Paul Jewell.

I wouldn’t want him as our long term boss, but I reckon he could fire up our lazy ars*d primadonnas enough to save us.

                Horc,

Derby thought that, and he failed miserably with them.
If Bob was to get sacked which I don’t believe for a minute will happen then for me Mark Hughes would be a superb replacement.

                  Let’s sack him now, eh?

Maybe because for the majority of this season we have been rank.

Lets wait and see shall we, a good player to be linked with though. Plays out on the left wing, so I imagine he will replace Rodders out there. Wonder if Rodders will go or be played up the middle???

Said in the NOTW today that Rodders may be sold???

                        On the radar.

Warnock has admitted he will be sold to a Premier League and if SSN on line is correct he is coming?

Hope so, from what I have seen of him he looks a real player and will be a great acquisition. But until it’s done I’ll hold my breath!!!!!!

It doesnt matter , the Dave Whelan haters hate him because of who he is , if we go the way of Hull its because of Dave Whelan not running the club in a fit and proper way , if we stay as we are its Dave Whelans fault for not spending enough.

They have an axe to grind and they use WAFC as a very thin veil to have a go.

Sorry mate you are talking rubbish. He is the chairman of our football club and loves all the attention when things are going well so why can’t he be critisised when things are not so great?

Everyone who bothers to post wants our club to be the best it can be and we all have an opinion on how that can be acheived. To say people have an axe to grind with Whelan on a personal level is utter cack!!!!!!

Yeah, I figured. People need to wake up to the fact that we’re Wigan. It’s brilliant we’re playing good football at last.

                            What good football????????

I know it takes time to build a team but Bob’s style of play is not working with the players we have and we are struggling!!!!!!

As I’ve said I hope in 4 months time I’m eating my words but at present I can’t get excited by a bloke who scored 3 goals in 28 appearances in Spain’s top flight last season. especially when he’s cost a reported £7mill of our limited transfer budget

“Reserve player for a side who finished 5th last season and so can’t be any good???????
What if he had been a Utd, Arsenal, City, Spurs, Chelsea or Liverpool reserve”
If we were spending £7mill on a unproven reserve team player from those clubs in England you mention I would be equally cautious

To try & get some comparison, so far this season he has scored 9 goals in Spains 2nd division. The following players Best (Coventry), Boyd (Peterborough), Cleverley (Watford), Morrison (Coventry) & Simpson (QPR) have all scored the amount in the Championship this season. Would you be happy if latics spent £7mill on any of them?

I’m just glad to see the club at least trying to show some ambition. It may not be a Premier League record but for our club it is a huge out lay and I have to admit I’m really looking forward to seeing him play and hope he scores a pon full.

Fair point Ticslad but are you seriously telling me that you don’t think the deal (if the rumoured price is correct) is overpriced for a reserve team/2nd flight player with his goalscoring record?

I will of course bow down to the footballing knowledge of Argentina’s coach, Bobby & even Whelan but it seems a hell of alot to pay to me. £2mill to £3mill maybe but £7mill????

£7mill is a huge investment for us but it’s nice to see. Latics fans moan we show no ambition then when Whelan does loosen the purse strings everyone is worried about the amount. The fee is probably made up of a down payment then add ons depending on appearances, goals etc.
