There’s a lot of Free & Loan signings on that list fil. Is that saying something about the clubs finances in the Championship?

With no Burn & possibly Bruce coming in then we’ll definitely concede.. Not optimistic about tomorrow at all.

What did Brighton offer in January, was it 10m? If we sell him this window for less then it will be a poor bit of business.

I reckon Walker is behind Massey and Jacobs in the pecking order. He wasnt in the side in League 1 so hows he going to cope at Championship level?

Jacobs never seems to be dropped?
Hope we get to see more of Walker would be a shame to see another player go without being given a decent run in the team.

Football wasn’t the best but A definite “well worth it” from me fil.
Thought the front cover of the match day programme was good.

We did have a makeshift side out though. Only slightly resembling the side we played at Doncaster. A much weaker side than that day missing both our left and right backs plus Power and Grigg.

Starting line up had 7 from last years team so wouldn’t call it makeshift donny. That said Powell started which was like playing with 10men for what he contributed.

Gibson seemed to have a lot of missed placed passes but maybe that will change the more he plays & they get used to each other.

Thought Walton was terrible and was to blame for at least one goal.

Walker did well when he came one, passed the ball well & drove it forward so hope to see him in the starting 11 on Saturday.

Don’t use vital so can’t comment on that donny.
Personally I didn’t see one hint of trouble and Rangers fans are really friendly enough.good day out.

Great fans great club just hope our morons don’t ruin the day .

Would appear there has been some trouble grumpy. Not sure which set of fans started it though.

I can’t see Cookie changing from a system that has served him so well to date NL. But it is always good to have a plan B, guess we’ll have to wait n see.
This league will definitely be tougher for both players & manager.

Know what you mean jimmy and I get the Macca signing but Wyke not when Cole is a spare part coz neither are getting in before Will unless injured or sold. Seems strange to strengthen a position we already have numbers .
Fair to say our use of strikers was pretty limited last season (in numbers). If Cole is off then you can’t really blame him. He’s looked decent enough to me on the few occasions I’ve seen him.
2 up front is becoming fashionable again so maybe Cookie just might surprise us?

You do sometimes look around a stadium & wonder why there are so many bobbies.

Only been to one darts comp Egg and it was really good & not hint of trouble. That said they are strict on no football tops allowed. Atmosphere there was totally different from a football match.

That said, bet there’s a few at DW for Sheff Weds. Nutters this lot & they caused a lot of trouble at Preston on first game of season last year.

In the last 330 minutes of football England managed 6 shots on target.
That is just not good enough. Harry Kane played so deep he may as well been in midfield.
The only bright spots for England were the keeper, left back and one of the central defenders.
The whole game plan and tactics revolved around set pieces.

I was agreeing with everything there donny until your left back comment. Thought the left back / side was poor personally.
I think he meant right back (Trippier), no one on this earth could say Young was a bright spot. I wouldn’t have him at Wigan and we don’t even have a left back at the moment.
In that case agree with everything. Trippier was one of the star performers.

The French are quietly going about their business and are my tip to do well.

;)[/qu

Not without more than a little help from VAR never a penalty in the memory of man. How the ref saw that as deliberate hand ball after seeing it from every angle is unbelievable. No point anymore of even protesting it. I lost interest in the game after that.
Couldn’t agree more NL and that was never a free kick for the french first goal. Cheating bar stewards…
Thought Croatia played really well but got the stuffing cheated out of them..
