Dear Mr Cockney Latic, wilt thou be updating the prediction scores anytime soon.
Or, is no bugger playing it anymore
If you like quick wingers that run at and can take on defenders, may I also point you in the direction of Gary Teale.Funny you should ask who I think has a better scoring rate than Moses as I have just compiled it on another thread. As you will see, Moses as the same scoring rate as Ryan Taylor, and nearly half that of Emile Heskey.
Amr Zaki 2.9
Aroune Kone 3.5
Henri Camara 3.5
Jason Roberts 4.3
Marcus Bent 4.4
Hugo Rodallega 4.7
Charles N’Zogbia 5.5
Emile Heskey 5.5
Franco Di Santo 6.2
Lee McCulloch 6.6
Antonio Valencia 7.8
Jordi Gomez 8.3
Jimmy Bullard 9
Ryan Taylor 9.3
Victor Moses 9.3Your referral was about Moses not passing the ball to someone who was more capable of scoring. Not who had scored the most goals. Moses didn’t even play with half of the ones you list above.
All this fuss about a little spat at the bridge. Used to be the norm a few years ago
If he can’t score and constantly refuses to pass to somebody who is much more capable of scoring, he is a complete waste of space as far as I’m concerned. Can you tell I was never a fan?
I’m curious, who was “much more capable of scoring”…
His play in and around the 18yrd box was defo suspect, but he was quality going forward from midfield.
Moses was a show pony. A few tricks here and there and Match of The Day made him look a superstar – but didn’t broadcast the dozen other times he ran up a blind alley or shot when cutting the ball back would have resulted in a clear chance for someone else to miss…A better winger (though I don’t consider Moses a winger) was Valencia.
Valencia would be my pick for best ever winger (even better than griffiths). As i said he was not the best in and around the box but time will tell with Moses. Reckon he will improve even more at Chelsea

Nope, we’re still missing N’Zogbia. Moses was just a his poor replacement. If memory serves correct, Moses couldn’t even get in the team whilst N’Zogbia was here.Moses is one of the best wingers we have ever had. What he lacked in goals he more than made up for in his approach play. Many a team would double up on him giving other players space and time.
Granted, he couldn’t hit a barn door but I’d have him back any day.
the majority of people i spoke to after the game all said they where sick of it
Maybe that says something about the people you speak to.
Or did they just nod as you had a little rant and say “Er – yeah – well…” while backing away slowly? ;)
The many hundreds who walked out after Southamptons second gaol spoke volumes. There were also a lot of people who i heard walking to the bridge slagging that performance off, and rightly so.
Biggest failure for this match was Bob for me. 5 – 4 – 1 formation & Poor substitutions… A style of play that resembles his character, nice en soft.. Until he changes his approach (which will be in about 3 games time) we won’t be any good cos he is tactically poor & overly cautious.
This deal could have been done 2wks ago, Barnsley will have told us there value but we went in below it instead of saying yeah we will pay it.
How do you know? And if you’re right (which you’re not) how come Everton paid exactly the same that we offered?
everton bid the same because that was the asking price
3m in prem terms is nothing, if a young player has potential then for me you should go for it straight away with no messing around. This guy is probably an England player of the future and I’m a bit gutted we didn’t get him.
Girl in the office (who knows nawt about footy) went watching Barnsley the weekend their manager got sacked and said the standard of football was crap but said some young lad came on in the second half (stone) who stood out from the rest.
Even if Stone didn’t make it we would not have lost on him. I know we are at the bottom of the wish list for players but if your qucik & eager you stand a better chance of getting a player.
If we play for the full 90mins like we did in the second half against Stoke then we should get a result. Let’s just hope we are quick out the blocks and don’t get to two nil before we start playing!
You guys do realise that we have only scored three goals in a game once at home this season. After seeing Southampton on MOTD tonight it’ll be a tall order me thinks.
You really are thick!
You’re right. I am really really thick.
Your ex liked it though. We’ve a lot in common.
4 or 5 posts back you two were agreeing with each other… Back to square one again now
I actually agreed with what he said about Diame when he played at Wigan, and how the team was better with McArthur etc, but my gender confusing friend has chosen to ignore this in the interests of continuing this wind-up.I shall refrain from responding to his posts now as I’m starting to find it all a bit tedious and I’ve got more stimulating things to do like cratching my arse with my car keys and plucking nose hair.
Plucking nose hair sounds painful. :pinch:
Dont think calling it a massive game now is an understatement.Stuffing at OT tonight and a must win for us and happy days
We can’t afford to drop points on this game. They are 3 points ahead of us and these are the sort of games we need to be winning if we want to stay up.
It’s our only home game this month with next two matches away. Next home game Liverpool on 2nd March so let’s hope it a win!!

Lad at work is a West Spam fan and rates Diame highly. He doesn’t want him to go nor does Sam (according to him)
I rated him in his first season for us, he reminded me of Viera the way he played but he went off the boil for the rest of his time and never really looked interested.
Did here the rumour that cos he wouldn’t sign a new contract Whelan didn’t want him playing. I’ve also heard that said about Alcaraz recently??From someone who thinks its funny to call himself WillieStroker on a public forum. If it offends you, there are proper reporting channels for you to follow. Knock yourself out. Oh, and grow up as he says.
Phew, for a second there i thought you’d said knock one out..
