Roger is hardly a world beater but he is just another alternative as a left sided player at left back.
But we already have two left backs, both helpfully called Taylor. Why would you pick someone who isn’t a left back by trade (and not very good to boot, imo) when we have just signed two proper ones?
Didn’t Espinoza play left back in the cup final against city? He was outstanding like the rest of the team on that world stage. B)
Why try and get a cheap pun in at Roger’s expense?.
he was one of the best players in the final, ran his socks off.
I was surprised when Stephen Crainey didn’t get kept on. He too worked his socks off against Arsenal. Is Andrew Taylor any better?
Yep, Roger was great that never to be forgotten day eg the final clearance before close of play. He sliced it a bit though, should have booted it into row ZZ. Bloody rubbish Wigan
Yes much improved on recent games, which in fairness, would not be difficult.
McClean looked like he had a point to prove :cheer:
Cowie’s best game by far. Defence looked solid, agreed Ramis was outstanding. Good to see Barnett getting some time on the park.
We would probably have settled for a point beforehand. You can’t help coming away frustrated though. Lots of possession and movement both of players and ball, but no goals to show for it. 13 shots, 2 on target according to the BBC website.
20th in the table and potentially lower tomorrow.
Uwe maybe in trouble with the Football League I reckon. He had a mega rant at the Assistant Ref after Maloney was “fouled” on 60 min. The 4th official wrote a few notes down.
So in summary…jury’s out really.
The rumours are flying around tonight, let’s wait for any official announcement.
I would have given him another month. Bang heads together now and move on.
Await any announcement….
From day one I have always had my doubts about Rosler. If you shout often and loud enough eventually no one listens , like you ignore your child when they have a mad screaming tantrum. His tactics have only ever consisted of “Work your stones off and run yourself into the ground” and that’s about it.
That squad is the best in the division and yet we are still so easy to beat. It’s time for him to go , tactically he is clueless. The Ipswich game was proof of that .Okay, so who is the right man to replace him ?
Black.
No. He has had spells of management and failed. He is a coach, a really good assistant but not a manager. A bit like Kenny Swain (awaits brickbats) who is a very good coach (look at his success with England’s youth teams) but a terrible manager.
Talk of Pulis on facebook  :(
For what it’s worth as its only DW opinion that really matters what’s the consensus on here.Time to make a decision now before it’s too late or give him time ?
Personally I believe all managers need time and the most successful clubs are those with patience. However it’s not the start of the season but also the end of last season we have been in decline but a new team needs time to develop. His constant tinkering and strange team selections does test the patience though?
For me he’s got a little time left.
Major talking at tomorrow by DW I hope.
On current form we have little chance of winning the next 2 games; it will be about the performance. Come the Brentford and Fulham home games we simply have to be winning or bye bye Uwe for me.
On the other hand the end could well come tomorrow if DW doesn’t like what he hears

Black.
Only won 2 games so far and they were against sides who are below us and struggling themselves! I fear for a tonking off Forest on Tuesday if he doesn’t sort it out! Whelan should give him until the end of October and if things haven’t improved by then show him the door! He just does not know how to utilise a squad that is probably one of the best in the division!DW needs to have one of his infamous “chats” with Uwe on Monday.
Along the lines of..”sort out your best 11 and stop messing around….”
We have won 2 games out of 9 (aside from the debacle at Burton). Those were against the weakest team in the division and a team who escaped the drop on the last day.
It just isn’t good enough with the resources the manager has at his disposal.
Not seen any highlights yet, if that’s an appropriate adjective
Even under Bobby, when we had a bad performance we bounced back next game eg losing at home to Swansea followed by….well it’s in the history books.
Was DW there on Monday night? I usually look round to see if he comes out of his box before KO, but was engrossed in conversation so forgot
The players don’t know from one game to the next who they will be playing alongside, or if at all. There is no rhythm or continuity to our play. Obviously injuries and suspensions happen, but there are far too many changes, seemingly for the sake of change; certainly not to make things better. They are getting worse; by the game.
For me, Uwe still has time, but not much. The vultures are circling.
I am active on several forums, based on very different subjects.
Strangely enough, each one has it’s cyber-bully type; whose sole purpose appears to be demeaning other members, rather than actually contributing anything of their own.
Sadly this forum is no different.
Bully types in any walk of life share one common trait; they have a deep-rooted insecurity. They choose to try to bully others out of fear that others will turn on them.
I wasn’t talking to you.
And in my defence, I don’t demean everybody. It is absolutely incredible, however, how gullible some people are.
But OK, enough’s enough. You can have too much of a good thing. So, I’ll stop now and be serious – with most people. One or two, however, simply don’t deserve to be treated any other way.
Res ipsa loquitur

That’s a long story Fulty ;)
Oh dear, it’s all over.
Couldn’t bowl Middlesex out today.
Let’s bounce back next season, straight back up.
Or what about…

We jumped through hoops to sign him. He played FOUR times
So you did then
I’m in T…Griff’s in W (so I believe)
I don’t know whether to be flatterd or freaked that that I appear to have yet another stalker on here. Credit where credit’s due though, you’re a better class of stalker than those knobheads, Torch, Wiganmon, LMB, etc…
That’s the nearest I’ll get to a compliment from Griff
”It’s not the modern way”
“No one plays 2 up front anymore…”
In this division we need goals. By the bag full.
Tactics can change 100 times over, the basics don’t….get the ball in the friggin net….
We’d been playing 2 up front till the Ipswich game.I say 5-3-2 , 2 wing backs , 3 center halfs , Delort and Reira upfront and go and get some goals for Christ sake !.
We seem to talk alot about getting the ball in the net but first, how’s about stopping the fookin ball going in ours ??, every game starts off off a draw
We had four years of the boring ‘protect the point we have’ tactics under Bob.
I could understand it to a certain extent, although it was very frustrating at times, but I suppose every point gained was a point nearer to our aim of staying in the PL.It’s different though now, we are playing to get out of a league (hopefully upwards) and one point a game with a few wins here and there will not get us anywhere near promotion.
We also need to stop worrying as much about the opposition and put out a team that has the opposition worrying about us.
Mick McCarthy couldn’t believe his luck when he saw how we were set up at the start of Tuesdays match and said so in the post match interview. For the last 15 minutes the whole game was turned on its head as at last the Ipswich defence had something to worry about with more than just one player attacking them, and what a difference it made to the atmosphere in the stadium. The belief came back and everybody started to get behind them as we looked a different team altogether.
I know Rosler will stick to his own agenda as past managers have, but surely he can see the difference between the 90 minutes against Birmingham and the first 75 minutes against Ipswich. It doesn’t need a genius to work out why we were so different.
Sums it up perfectly.
Let’s hope the powers that be are taking note.
