Shocking keeper.
Gomez has talent but so frustrating. I want him to influence things and he has moments. I keep thinking he might turn into Bob’s best mate’s dad Mr Cruyff but faith running out.

He isn’t funny but thinks he is. He is never up to date with what’s happening. He has no background info that the average fan doesn’t have. What’s he for ?Someone mentionned the fact that Grant got the “spirit and tactics” just right today. Let’s hope he doesn’t do the same on Wednesday and that RM does.
Stoke have Pulis, Peter Reid and Gerry Francis – and you can’t have see the difference. They don’t have better players but they are much better organised and more motivated.
What’s happened to Arjan de Zeeuw ? He’d be ideal. Bright , has presence and knows how to organise a defence.
I thought Stuart was good too. He’s not just shown interest recently. That Man City match was as big for him as it was for me.
It’s a shame there can’t be more comments about the up side of having someone reasonably well known saying they support Wigan with pride. So often we complain about not getting publicity and then we do we criticise the detail of what he said. A shame.
I wonder when the media will start to explore the role of their favourite cheeky chappie Mr. Redknapp in this horror story. Suspect the court case is holding them back at the moment.
Agree with all that. I am totally amazed that anyone can criticise DW. Without him the little club that I watched from 1965 would be in the old 4th division at best and this dream would never have happened. I do think he made a mistake appointing RM – but it was a gamble worth taking, was admired across football and could still come off.
Stoke are the most cynical team I’ve seen in the Prem. They are summed up by the fact that Pulis nutted his then star striker. Gomez was hammered at least 6 times- by a different player every time ( God knows why they thought that was necessary ). Somehow the media don’t give them the stick they deserve. Even today the focus was on Shawcross being in tears – so what. I suppose it’s a few miles from Stoke to the next club so they feel they shoulde encourage them.
