must admit griff
took some work that did  :clap:Work? Work???
A (supposedly) grown man tippexing out lines in his copy of Smash Hits in his bedroom, no doubt having a little giggle and a crafty tug over his cleverness, all because the team he (supposedly) supports looks like it might finally be relegated from a league it has struggled in for 6 years??
No mate, I’m all for banter and humour, even with LMB, but I don’t think that’s even that good, to be honest. If he put as much effort into supporting the team as he clearly put into writing that nonsense, we’d all be a lot better off.
Probably makes better reading than one of your books (or pamphlets as they are termed).
Watched the game on Abu Dhabi sports in my houseAnother armchair fan.
Yep. Some folk believe only a select few off here have any right to go to the games. Personally, i would welcome anyone going to swell the numbers to be honest. Someone once said the worst kind of football fan is the football snob, the type of fan who believes he is the biggest fan and only he has the right to go to games, or talk about the club. Still, ill go whn im back. My 15 odd quid might go some way to helping the club, as would a few others, who by inference on here are not fit to pay to watch the team.
Or have the club started vetting people who are allowed to go along to watch now by means of cockney latic? Is there a form we fill in?

did you go?
did you watch the game?
did you log on before saying hello to anyone at home?
maybe you have a fancy gadget that lets you ‘surf’ whilst in the pub!Did not go to the game. Live in Dubai. Watched the game on Abu Dhabi sports in my house. Dont have a fancy gadget. Return from middle east in 8 months for good so will be back to watching them live next season.
I wouldnt like to be in the trenches with some of you men. The white flag would go up within an hour!
Bigroy, we have a forum that is overrun by big screaming Jessies, who wait until things aren’t going well, then jump up and down and hurl insults at the manager/the owner/those who support the team, or in many cases, all three.
Trenches don’t come into it. Many of this lot wouldn’t have got out of the training camp as they would have had a hissy fit and been left lying face down kicking and punching the ground as the battalion marched out.
Army veteran are you Standish? Seen action with your ‘battalion’?
Hayley McQueen – 10 out of 10.
Be careful, by saying anything at all negative about Mr Roberto Martinez, our Manager and holder of a Spanish Passport or the Wigan Athletic First Team performance (is that description ok mods?), you may well end up banned from posting on here.
Martinez can also be classed as British as he has the passport, married a British girl, and speaks the language fluently.
How’s your Arabic coming along?
Arabic coming along fine thanks.

Stan Collymore said earlier that Wigan ,Blackpool and Blackburn will go down if either dont he will do a lap round the perspective teams grounds if they stay up and give money to a local charity . :angry-banghead:
Stan Collymore, who seriously gives a flying fook. Come on Ulrika ka ka
Come on Ulrika? If only, its why Gladiators was worth watching. And Jet.
Will jackanory’s next meltdown will be a mere 3 mile island or a full on supernova!
Not saying the first team are playing well but have you been down and seen the reserves lately? They play some fantastic stuff.
Watch the reserves?
I’m struggling to watch the bloody FIRST team, at the moment!
Couldnt agree more Dave. Although im a little confused as to if you are now Anti Martinez, or Pro Martinez, the opinion seems to change so often. Could you let us know for clarity, and also, if you are due to do another u-turn say April?
I said years ago that SKY will ruin the game. Actually, my dad said it first. Neither of us have ever had SKY….basically because we detest what they’ve done to the game.I was walking through the Grand Arcade last year, and some SKY salesman grabbed me and started his sales patter “we can give you this….we can give you that”, I said to him “I wouldn’t have it, even if it was free, because SKY has absolutely ruined football, and I hate them for it”.
I walked away, leaving the guy open mouthed.
WHy must you turn this board into a house of lies?
some folks just simply hate him, no matter what and can never admit if he does anything goodNah, its not hate, i just think he is not up to the job of keeping Wigan in the Premier League. Simple as that.
And regardless of what you and your multiposter ‘one step away from another breakdown’ personna may think, i will never simply love Roberto Martinez. 20th out of 20. Very poor. Roberto Di Matteo, as a player achieved more, as a manager achieved a better success rate than Martinez in this league and was sacked.
Now in my eyes, Angelina Jolie can do no wrong.
The return of DiSanto, McCarthy, McArthur and Boyce to the first XI definitely added something tonight. N’Zogbia was very dangerous, as was Rodallega (though he still misses too many). That’s the first Latics game in weeks where we can point to 19 shots on goal.
However, even when Moses and Cleverley come back, this squad will still be the weakest in our time in the Premier League. Too many average players signed by the man with an eye for a lacklustre midfielder. At last count the Caldwells, Gohouri, Stam, Thomas, Diame, Watson and Gomez are all simply not up to the job.
Was that the Latics fans singing “You don’t know what you’re doing” when Stam and Watson came on? I hope so. The time’s come to give him some stick. Whelan says he’s sticking with Roberto, but maybe Roberto will get the message and agree to leave by mutual consent to save some face for all concerned.
He may be a good manager one day; it’s laudable that he’s got the reserves and the youth team playing the same system. But at present Roberto Martinez and his third division cronies Jones and Barrow (Latics legends all – as players) are taking us out of this league.
Agree with all of that.
I fully agree with you VAT
Some folk just simply love Roberto. Regardless of the football situation.

“Sometimes you need a bit of luck in one game and that triggers a successful run. The Premier League is an unforgiving place and football sometimes doesn’t give you what you deserve. But at the end of the season I believe it will. It is a circle. You get frustrated, then you get a chance and instead of thinking you are going to score, you think you are going to miss. Mentally we need to change that. But the dynamics are very positive and we have huge belief. It is just a matter of time before it clicks into place and we get the results our performances deserve. We don’t need nastiness. My players just need to understand how they are going to get points, which is by playing well.”
