He’s going to get even less game time at Liverpool now that Shaquiri has been signed.
They are arguing they should pay less because of the catastrophic loss of value that clubs suffer when they drop down a division. The club argues that after relegation to League One in 2015, they were paying more than six times the average business rates of other clubs in the division. The average League One club paid £88,000 a year in 2015/16, but Wigan’s bill was nearly £600,000. They argue that revaluations should be done more regularly.
Now I was wondering whether The Worriers have to pay that amount too as we are both supposed to be tenants. Or is this a bill for the landlords.
Yet the article does say Wigan Athletic. What Catastrophic Loss was that? Didn’t you get a £9m parachute payment that year?
If the lease agreement for Wigan Warriors includes Business Rates, then perhaps the owner of Wigan Athletic should have negotiated harder with the owner of the DW Stadium.
The French are quietly going about their business and are my tip to do well.If it were on performances alone, then possibly Croatia should win itIt appears the Klumps supporter was correct. ;)
A bit of a mish mash with the Belgium coaching staff a Spaniard, Frenchman and Englishman and all three countries in the World Cup! :silly:
But that epitomises Belgium – a great cultural mix, appraciating talent no matter where it comes from, or what the nationality of the person involved is.
Eriksson coached England, Klinsmann coached USA, Jack Charlton coached RoI.
You get the best people in for any job, national team, club team, or in general business, no matter their background.
A very logical and global-facing response to a very insular and xenophobic statement.
The Russian public will see Croatia as the country who knocked their country out – it may sway a few neutrals to cheer for England!
I saw a video the other day showing Gibbo a bit worse for wear slagging off Sunderland and its fans (pffff) saying they were shit etc.Gibbo can sober up where as Sunderland remain shit!
The video was from July 2017 and Gibson called out several of his team-mates for not giving a shit. The players named were Kone, Lens and Khazri. At no stage did he slag off the fans.
But lets not let facts get in the way of another Bullitt Bullshit sesson!
There’s a world of difference between an elite sportsman getting pissed on a regular basis, and the coach having a few beers. The coach’s weekly alcohol level has no impact on the on-field performance.

This was taken at noon on a match day and resulted in his contract being terminated.
Why on earth any club would allow this pisshead anywhere near their training facilities is beyond me. If he wants to get fit, then he could buy himself a membership at a local gym.
He took us down and should have stayed at least one more season to try to get us back, he looked out for himself and went to Everton.Hope he doesn’t win another trophy ever, i’ll be rooting for Brazil!
Over half the team fucked off sharpish too, but don’t let facts get in the way of your personal agenda against the most successful manager Wigan Athletic have had.
Columbia’s game plan was centred around niggling and agitating, in the hope that they could provoke a Beckham-style response and then play against 10 men. Sweden wont have that approach, which is good to see, but they will try and frustrate and bore us to submission.
I agree with the comments about Sterling – for me he is the one player who I would say is modelled on the “golden generation” that failed so spectacularly in 2006 and 2010. Loftus-Cheek offers us far more.
Roll on 3pm Saturday – the cider is in the fridge already!
One of the semi finalists will be either a side ranked 20th or 70th in the FIFA rankings. They will face a side ranked either 6th, 12th, 16th or 24th for a place in the final.
Would you explain please, given that the purpose of championships is to determine who is the best at the time? You may argue that England weren’t the best in ’66, but they beat both Portugal and West Germany in the knock-out rounds. Similarly the Netherlands, Cruyff et al., couldn’t beat the Germans in ’74. Being the best is about winning, not how nice you play. You sound like Wenger.Does the best team in England win the FA Cup or the League cup every year?
Technically (in terms of league placings), Latics were the best team to enter the FLT last season, but did they win it?
Once the WC knockout stages come up, it becomes less down to ability and more down to nerve and a bit of luck – be it a deflection, refereeing decision or moment of pure individual brilliance. Other than their first game and the semi final, Germany didn’t set the world alight in 2014, drawing with Ghana, scraping past USA (1-0), needing extra time to beat Algeria, 1-0 against France, but they did just enough each time.
Thus far, the best team I have seen is Croatia, but I don’t think they’ll win it.
your like a rat feeding on people’s miss fortune s your a horrible kind of klumps supporter. Thanks for your contribution to the thread. Your grammar is appalling though.
Now, back to Nuneaton’s more relevant (and adult) point. The Argies are a divided lot. Messi hasn’t got his Barcelona team-mates with him to set him up for hat tricks against crap opposition, and neither has Aguero. They are a poor side with a couple of massive egos who cant accept that by virtue of the place and time of their birth they are forced to play amongst players who they consider inferior. It doesn’t help having that fat coke-head watching their every move either.
The best team rarely wins the world cup. If it were on performances alone, then possibly Croatia should win it, but Brazil really need to up their game if they want to be 6 time winners. Its a very open competition, and in terms of pure entertainment, arguably the best I recall watching
The French are quietly going about their business and are my tip to do well.
Argentina next for them though mutt so one of the big boys are going out. They have been lucky up to now and it would be just like the Argies to turn up after struggling to get through the group stages.
They weren’t lucky today – they played very well. I wouldn’t fancy Portugal or Uruguay to beat them either.
You’re right there. England have scraped by Tunisia and thumped the worst side in the competition, yet some people are now calling them potential winners. If they make the quarter finals, they will have met my expectations and get a “Well Done Lads”.
