As im the OP i say:
Yes & yes to bothHaving seen it on MOTD he should be sacked IMO. Newcastle have fined him 100 grand but like savage said, how can he now discipline a player for doing something bad on the pitch when the manager who is supposed to set an example does something like that.
i was also angry seeing john carver finding the incident amusing.TBH lowey i was one who was looking forward to the championship & enjoying a season of stress free football – a bit like the olden days. However if we were to get promoted i wouldnt mind us being something of yo-yo team, in 1 season, out the other. Thats just my thoughts.
We are FA cup winners & the current holders.
Absolute cracking win today. Caught the last 20 mins on wish fm on my way home from work.
I drove down to wigan this afternoon with my son & his mate. Arrived at the DW for 3.15 thinking there would be a huge queue. We went into the reception & saw the cup being taken into the players lounge. We waited in reception as it was cold & no one was waiting outside. We bumped into al habsi, then some kid came into the reception with his parents. The officials brought the cup back into reception to allow this kid to have his photo with the cup. As we were there i asked if we could have our photo taken with it so we could shoot off back home & this is why we came early. They agreed to it. Not only did they let me, my son & his mate have our photo with the cup, they allowed me to hold the bloody thing. I almost died/cried with excitement & disbelief. Many thanks to the club & massive thanks to jay t for the info.
I was disappointed with his appointment when i heard he had got the job. Would have preferred mclaren, but i was willing to give him a chance.
as has been previously stated the work that bobby had carried out during 4 years was wiped out literally overnight. I suppose it was only right he had to go.
someone like rosler or even mclaren should have been appointed to carry on with the footballing philosophy.Kevin nicholls. Always injured during his time with the club. Only featured when bruce came in then was offloaded.
claim to fame though – he lived in the next street to me facing my house in winstanley. Our most tackled player! your having a laugh, very rarely loses the ball and when he does you can hear the groans and moans, a few weeks ago the lad next to says “Gomez again” after he lost the ball this was about 40 minutes into this particle game, I pointed out it was the first time he had been caught in possession. compare that to McCleen/Roger running around like headless chickens always losing the ball or passing into an empty space yet people love them.
Gomez wins us more free kicks than any other player his pass completion most be amongst the best at the club if not the best, his vision is excellent the problem he has is when players in front of him are too static and that is when he’ll end up turning around and passing back or get caught in possession much to the displeasure of some of the thick tw*t that sit near me![/quote]
well said mr snowblind
Stefan bidstrup
He is a good Championship player but not good enough for the Prem ! I am glad he is still with us because he can turn a game on its head when he has his footballing head on !thats why he was the championship player of the season a few years back for swansea.
But in fairness mr woods, both on their day can unlock defences like no other in our team & gomez especially tries things like no one else in the team. Sadly though when he tries something & it dosent come off, he is slated, whilst others can get away with it.
sorry to say this but the majority of wigan fans do not get gomez. Perhaps he is too intelligent for them. What also riles me is when something he tries comes off there is no praise whatsoever, yet they wait with baited breath to criticise when something dosent come off as though they actually want him to fail – sad as its one of our own players from our own team.Just sent you a new mail on one of the other addresses you sent me. Let me know if you receive it or not.
Martinez has been lucky so far with injuries & has been able to field a strong team. However injuries are now creeping up on them so lets see how they get on the next few games.
They also won the amount of passes completed.
