I think the rules should stay as they are. Why change (apart from a few tweaks over the years), something that isn’t broken.
What i would change is the champions league format that ONLY allows WINNERS to compete in it, ie; premier league, FA cup & even league cup winners. The UEFA cup should then be for the teams who finish 2nd, 3rd, 4th & 5th placed teams.
His squad just missed out on promotion and reached a cup semi-final too. That wasn’t all down to Uwe.Yes indeed, it was coyle’s squad that uwe took to both an FA cup & play-off semi final, but i firmly believe that coyle would not have got anywhere near both had he have remained in charge.
A mess? What did he do? Relegate us from the Greed League then piss off? Relegate us from The Championship?He didn’t. But to be fair donny, i think he played the initial part to the “start” of the mess we have found ourselves in over the last 3-4 years.
At the end of the day, it hasn’t affected the result any way shape or form. I understand the debate if we had drawn or lost the game & it cost us points, but it hasn’t. IMO, its now irrelevant.
Goodnight leyland. Ive just got back home. Wasnt the greatest of games. But 3 points at the end of the day & a cracking goal to boot.
Looking forward to seeing the highlights to see whether or not the ball had crossed the line. Do they not have goal line technology at league 1 level?

We really should have played it on the 2nd; Northampton were there for the taking whereas now they’re nicely in form.So are we leyland.
I was 13/14 when he first played for us. I remember the older generation used to get frustrated with him at times. But he had one of the best left foot’s i have ever seen from a latics player.
