The lasting and on going problem is the organiser of the trip has been ordered to report to GMP any future away trips he organises, where they leave from, their planned route, including any scheduled stop off points.
I hope realise your childish crap on here has spoiled it for others.
It seems this particular operator has been targeted as a result of the “information received” being much more specific than whatever was posted in this thread.
Rank bad defending cost us the three points tonight. It also cost us our Premiership status last season and nothing has changed.
Coyle alluded to it in his post match comments when he said players must adapt to the style of play in the Championship and I’ve yet to be convinced that out current back four are capable of that.
Bobby Charlton
Never lost a game, Fred Eyre.
Fred Eyre
He jumped in with BOTH feet off the ground, which in today’s money is deemed reckless and deserving of a red card, regardless of whether he played the ball or not.
How does one “jump in” with one foot on the ground?
Both feet are clearly OFF the ground. There’s no doubt – it’s a jump!
Correct.
I was asking how does one avoid the necessary action of taking your feet of the ground as to create the momentum required to slide in for a tackle?
I look forward to our players moon walking into tackles from now on.
I see you are implementing Mark Twain’s good advice here.
I think Charles Insomnia and Yohan Kebab would be a great partnership.
I don’t know what footage you have been watching Salford but there was no slithering across the ground. He jumped in with BOTH feet off the ground, which in today’s money is deemed reckless and deserving of a red card, regardless of whether he played the ball or not.
I will be amazed if the club appeals that. There is no way that will be rescinded.
I am on nobody’s side here. Whelan likes the media limelight and uses that to put his opinions out in the public domain. Just because he’s the chairman of Wigan Athletic, the team that you and I have chosen to support, doesn’t mean his comments and utterings are exempt from criticism.
And some of what he has said in the past has been embarrassing and worthy of ridicule. Whether that justifies the suicide comment by Reade is of course up for debate and may well be in bad taste, but since when have journalists ever been guided by any kind of moral code.
I don’t think the Mirror is any different to other rags in its reporting of all things Latics. More specifically, Brian Reade has a history of ridiculing Whelan and the things he says. In most cases it’s because he’s asked for it.
On the game, it did make me wonder why we would want to go back there ! Are we in a catch 22 scenario in the Championship ?
Because the getting there is so much more fun than being there.
Catch 22 then ! ;)
I suppose so but not to aspire to play at the highest level is not really an option.

To save any further embarrassment to Standish and his rash , one eyed Tony Thompson and Joe from Smiths pharmacy it might be an idea if we had this thread deleted and pretend it never happened.
I heard Smiths pharmacy got raided this morning and has been closed down indefinitely. Can’t image why.
About time the FA joined the 21st century – just a shame they’ve focused on a complete red herring, and now bought themselves at least another 5, probably 10 years before having to introduce any further tech.
How many times last season was there controversy over a goal crossing the line vs goals incorrectly allowed/disallowed for offsides, fouls, etc? The latter is where technology such as video replay is desperately needed.
The introduction of technology into offside & fouls would turn football into an absolute farce.
Besides which it quite simply wouldn’t work at all for fouls – There’s far too much interpretation involved in determining football fouls & I’ve run the line at games where a ref’s penalised a challenge that I’ve seen absolutely nowt wrong with.
You could have all the replays you want & it won’t settle whether a challenge is a foul or not for everyone who saw it.Then there’s the timing of it – if the ref thinks a fould may have been committed, at what point does he review it? Straight away? But what happens if he’s wrong & the team in possession of the ball have been penalised when they did nowt wrong? Does he wait till the next break in play? That could be several minutes away & if it was a foul does the clock get set back to what it was when the foul was committed?
I’ve heard it suggested that you could have someone watching the game & radioing down that a foul/offside has been missed. The ref would lose complete control of the game if the players thought someone else was making all his decisions for himleave it as it is
Bob on! Over the goal line or not is about as far as we should go, IMO.
And Sky would have nothing to bore us all to death with.
Why the need for law and order on coaches verse 10? Surely the majority know already the legalities of drinking on the highways?Doesn’t mean I don’t get plastered every away game I go to however I’m travelling.
Glad I don’t go with some of you lot, I’d be on suicide watch
You’re still not getting it are you?
