Well two one off games against either Barnsley Fleetwood or Morecambe and we are there. It would be great and a confidence booster rather than distraction. A good chance providing we show the opposition the respect they deserve.
We should be in with a decent shout Donny. Barnsley & Fleetwood in relegation position, York & Morecambe in league two?
The problem is, we’ll make changes whereas they could go all out for a trip to Wembley.
The area final is two legs is it not?
I think he’ll play but then it may be the last we see of him.
Because they think that football revolves around them.
Never once looked fit or interested while he’s been here.
Spurs will get him fit and interested. God knows what he has been up to while we have been paying his wages.
I was referring to Holt.
Never once looked fit or interested while he’s been here.
Congratulations to Mr Perkins on getting a 1yr contract extension today.Excellent signing. Was pleased when we signed him as I rated him when he played against us. Certainly up there as our player of the year so far.
There are price bands in place I believe and yes both clubs must agree.
I’d give some ‘fringe’ players a run if we can.
Maybe let Cowie start instead of Perkins, bring back Pearce if he’s fit, give Kellett a run. Maybe start Davies instead of Grigg and let him play with Wildschut and Jacobs before the Rochdale game.
Yes a good cup run will help, but this is a chance to make sure that if we do have injuries/suspensions etc that players can slot in with no disruption.
Another late goal though pulls us out of it. Take away late goals this season and we nowhere near fifth. Won’t keep happening! Hope I’m wrong but luck been well and truly on our side this season and some very favorable refereeing decisions! You make your own luck.
Ask Man Utd if they felt lucky when it kept happening to them.
A win is a win, regardless how or when it comes.
Wildschut plays as a striker on the team sheet.
Yes we may change formation during the game, that’s a good thing.
Never looked like getting a goal for us unless it was a pen. Thought he was a top buy at the time but sadly not.
Didn’t see that coming. Would like tobhave seen us get a cricket score but that is whinging Wiganer mode at its bottom of the barrel scraping best.
Man of the match wise, I thought Perkins was excellent as always, Power and Daniels were great as Tez says but it would go to the lad from Boro for me. Murdered their lad at right back and was a big part of our dominance.
Take away his in vain huff and puff and falling over and he was as bad as Julius Aghahowa in front of goal for us! One of the worst strikers I have ever had the misfortune to pay money to watch!Edit- This is NOT a wind up!
Can’t disagree when you look at his stats. I do think his assists tally would have been massively swelled with a goal scorer like a Stuart Barlow alongside him.
Sir Andrew Liddell. First name on my all-time team sheet.
