Look crackpot I was referring to this bit of your stupid statement “Enjoy your Pot of gold Perchy and thanks for your role in our relegation last season.”
Were you not aware that it was all the fault of the player’s player of the year?
“Anyone know what pub the Millwall boys drink in? Planning an ambush before the game. Fire. Chairs. Bats. Madness.
They’ll be drinking in a pub somewhere near Port Vale that day. In case you weren’t aware, 3rd division clubs still have fixtures on international weekends.
Back on topic, this is a move that has just about alienated all Warriors fans from the chairman. As egg says, its all about sponsorship and the fans have been firmly placed in the category of 2nd class citizens as IL goes courting a few quid from rich businessmen whilst sticking two fingers up to the 10,000 who shell out over £200 per year for their seat.
I live closer to the Den than the DW, but there isn’t a cat in hells chance that I will go to this fixture, and I hope everyone else does the same, leaving a big hole in IL’s pocket.
The game is free for season ticket holders.
We paid for 14 home games and the consensus was always that if we get 15 then the 15th would be played away from home.
I’ve no issue with that at all and feel that the more sponsors we have the better. If we bring £2m a season in in sponsorships and TV deals then the money we make from merchandise and ticket sales can go towards signing better players and improving our training facilities. I’ve no issue at all with that.
The issue I have is that we have been dreadful away from home this season and this could massively backfire on us. Hopefully we win the first 4 games, cement the playoff spot and the result has no bearing.
They are trying something different to spread the gospel nowt wrong with that
They have been tying to spread the gospel for donkeys years, when are they going to realise that hardly any fucker wants to watch that shite in the North of England nevermind London and the South.
It’s nothing to do with spreading the gospel, it’s to do with spreading the WRLFC brand because as I said we apparently get a bit if corporate attention when we down there and Lenegan wants to gain some more blue chip sponsors. We’ve even opened an office down there.
That’s all well and good, but it hasn’t worked in the past, isn’t working now and will never work in the future because their just isn’t the interest.
They, along with the RFL should be concentrating on the local fans and possible new fans in the small area of the country that there is at least a slight interest.
The whole game of RL is becoming a laughing stock as straws are being grasped all the time without any headway being made.
As a fan yourself, you surely can’t be happy with yet another home fixture being played somewhere like Millwall were they don’t give a damn about your sport.
You haven’t read my post at all have you? It’s got nothing to do with trying to get new fans. It’s about trying to get new sponsors. How it will work I have no idea but Lenegan spends 90% of his time in London and believes that it will.
As a fan, no I’m not happy because our away form is poor but I’ll be happy if we pull a deal from it.

It’s an attempt to get more blue chip sponsors as apparently our yearly friendly in London against London Skolars draws quite a big business interest.
Personally, considering our away form is poor, I think it’s a fucking stupid idea.
Multiple home friendlies isn’t going to happen. After 16 years I thought that may have sunk in. It’s one if we’re lucky.
That’s our reserve side though so probably wouldn’t
Probably this guy

As opposed to Gamst Pedersen who was at Blackburn.
It’s a case of where would we be now if everyone listened to meYes I’m sure we would be challenging for the Premier League title had we employed you as opposed to Coyle or Rosler.
The bastds gone move onHave you seen the Martinez thread lol
Have to agree with that article.
Squire the lad is from Londonderry which makes him a citizean of this nation. Not sure if he has a Grandad or Uncle or a distant relative from the republic that allows him to play for them but Londonderry is as much part of this country as Bristol, Middleborough or Keswick.
Footballers from Northern or Southern Ireland are able to choose which nation they want to represent at international level. They are able to switch allegiance as well as long as they haven’t played a competitive senior game for one or the other – I think McClean represented NI up to U21 level before he switched over
Several sports also only have 1 team which covers the whole of Ireland.
I’m happy enough with our transfer activity up to now, just having faith that GC and JJ have everything going to plan .Think a couple more outs and ins to come yet and maybe a surprise or two.Looking forward to the season start more than in recent seasons …..maybe that’s because I’m hopeful of winning more than we lose and maybe the rebirth of that song reverberating around a full stadium come May. …….not heard it for a while e I e I eio up the football league we go ……..!!!Positivity???? GET OFF THESE BOARDS!!! ;) :P
Tony Pulis has confirmed that he has spoken to James McClean after the winger turned away during the playing of the National Anthem before a West Brom friendly in the US.
McClean’s gesture before the game against Charleston Battery in Orlando prompted heated debate across social media platforms.
“I had a chat with him and explained what we do as a football club and the way we are, and I think he’s fine with everything,” said Pulis.
“We’ve got Northern Ireland lads in the squad and he’s been absolutely fantastic with them, and the way he’s mixed and integrated with the group has been brilliant.
“He thought he was OK to close his eyes and put his head down in respect of both anthems. The trouble is he’s got to face the flag.”
I thought you’d be a fan of the Queen Fil with her being a German and all.
