There are plenty of people on social media that seem to think that Vat. Plenty of posts every week how we should be beating sides like a, b and c.
I read plenty as well about him being a Liverpool fan. What has that got to do with anything?
Its nothing to do with our club, being honest. But I dont think he has helped himself at times during his tenure with us. As a manager, drinking pints at fans forums and things…dare I say it wasnt something most managers would do? It would be water or a soft drink. He has tried to come across as ‘one of the lads’, which is great when you are winning, but not so great when you are struggling. People then use these things to have a pop. Thats just society.
Yeah I can see that but like you say, in League One it was great now its not.
As for Warnock, I just don’t believe we can realistically afford him.
I’ve met McCall and honestly, he is a really good bloke, and a great football man.
Like Paul Cook then.
No. Paul Cook is a Liverpool fan.
We were the better side at Derby yes, but after our wretched away record I can see why we would be cautious and try to get a point and a clean sheet first and foremost. And as I continue to say, had he gone for it and we lost he would have been slated for going for it. Don’t say he wouldn’t because it happens on social media every week.
Brings on Naismith v Derby and Bristol – twitter meltdown
Doesn’t bring on Naismith v Swansea – twitter meltdown
Plays Windass – social media claim he’s crap
Doesn’t play Windass – twitter meltdown because Daddy Dean says he was fitNobody might use the term “steamroller” but there are plenty that claim we should be beating a, b or c especially when we play at home.
Budget wise we are in the bottom 5.

I’ve said plenty of times on here and FB that personally I think we will need to survive by hook or by crook for 3 maybe 4 years gradually adding to the squad before we can think of taking the next step and challenging.

10 million is less than fuck all in this league hence why the players dont look good enough.
We lost our 2 best players and haven’t replaced them because simply put….we can’t.
We have as much chance of getting Arsene Wenger as we do Neil Warnock.
It has nothing to do with swallowing what Cook says, it is about being realistic. We are in the 2nd tier, average 9k and post financial losses year after year. Yes our owners have money allegedly but they are not prepared to spunk it away which personally I’m pretty happy with because if we did then it wouldn’t be long before we’re the next Bury or Bolton which is something you should understand pretty well.
As for deluded fans, someone posted on Facebook that we should bid for Olivier fucking Giroud.
How do we know that having an ambitous manager who plays 442 won’t mean we get stuffed every week?
We have one of the smallest budgets in the division and usually that is where you finish. We’ve signed league one players and injury prone veterans because that is what we can afford in the hope it works.
Perhaps Cook is too cautious at times and worries about the opposition but no doubt if he went all out attack and we got stuffed the same people would be booing him.
Neil Warnock. Aye ok.
We have spent 7 seasons at this level and have been relegated twice. It’s not like we are an established Championship club or even a top tier club like if someone like Forest or Leeds were in this position. I think that is his point. He has barely taken us backwards has he?
As I said on the other thread there are plenty of our fans who seem to think we should be beating certain teams and should be well above where we are. Mentioning managers and players names that we have next to no chance of ever employing.
If I was managing a club that was punching above its weight and some Football Manager playing “expert” was having a go at me I would probably react as well.

Best manager Latics have never had. Knows how to be successful in this league with or without money.
Clubs will be queuing up to take old Colin Wanker.
And with a record like that will probably demand a decent salary
9265
I don’t understand our formation to be fair.
Everyone slags off 442, but we play with a target man as a 442 team may do. but we never have another player within 20 yards of the target man.
If we are going to use Moore as a target man, FFS get someone up there to take advantage of that as the lad wins nearly every ball, but there is never any one to flick or lay it off to.
What position or role is Massey supposed to be playing, as it is definitely not a supporting role for Moore?
I really feel sorry for Moore, he works his bollox off, wins everything but has no support at all.Hard to argue

Can we stop the constant personal jibes please? We can have an opinion without getting personal, and it is continually the same culprits.
