Not important when you see the shocking pictures of wigan folk without a habitable home tonight.
The roads around the stadium were awful and the river was spilling over so they made the right decision regardless of the pitch state.
good decision wiganWhat about the poor bar stewards in Wigan without a habitable home rain or no rain. Everyone knows where the flood plane is in Wigan, it just happens to contain the ambulance station, the fire station and the police station. Do I feel sorry for Asda, well nope, sort that roundabout out it just needs a couple of drains at the lower level.
The thing that as done me is if we were still in the prem our pitch WOULD have been playable and the game would have gone ahead.[/quote]
The pitch was waterlogged anyway but even had we been in the prem the game would have been cancelled in certain of it.
Three access points to the stadium were flooded they did the right thing.
I remember a game against villa being cancelled after a major snowstorm in December 2010 due to access problems caused by snow.
Plenty of people affected in wigan by these dreadful floods a football match in the third division means nothing in my opinion .Not important when you see the shocking pictures of wigan folk without a habitable home tonight.

good decision wigan2-0 home win nothing less need to stay in touch and get out of thiis division.
A few tossers who ditched the club when the going got tough may return 11,560 my guess.burton annoyed me from the off with the ridiculous switch round after they won the toss up.
obviously sent some fag end scout to watch us for a few weeks and yes they did a job on us but not playing football.
Worst game this season but we still didn’t deserve to lose the game.
Biggest annoyance the short corner routine that never works.Launch it straight in the box and try an get a flick on but sod this routine it is a joke!
Final point they looked leggy last night so please no army combat courses mid season please.Pedestrian victory against a team of non footballers who came to frustrate and kick us off the park.
They failed miserably and to be honest we never came out of first gear – we never needed to!
We will have bigger tests but this season is starting to take shape now and we are most definitely a contender for promotion.
playing badly but still outclassing the opposition ?
No buts from me I’m afraidGreat win and cranking up the gears now towards a massive push for promotion.
Looking really good !It’s all true though and worthy of a mention I reckon.
The team last night was made up of largely second string players and they were bloody magnificent !
Kellet surely must start on Saturdaydreadful from start to finish and a 0/10 from me and a worrying trend continues with the woeful away form.
i would have them in tomorrow for extra training because that wasn’t acceptable for a wigan athletic team.
0/10deserved that we totally dominated from start to finish despite their negative spoiling tactics.
Crap refereeing also at least two good penalty shouts ignored in the first half.the lads deserve credit for keeping their heads in the face of those spoiling tactics.
Brilliant ending and maybe a game we will look back on as a defining one come May.Outstanding all over the pitch today 10 out of 10
Get it sorted away from home and we will be right up there .
Five off the top and I doubt many teams will come here and get a resultGraeme Jones for his magnificent first season in 1996-97 he was a slower version of Alan shearer.golden boot winner with 33 league goals an amazing feat.
His winning goal against Torquay at the death that season is probably the best headed goal I have ever seen.
Amazed he hasn’t warranted a mention as he started the clubs ascent up the leagues.Spent nearly 300 million and won no trophies in his 3 year stint.
Latics are more successful than the once mighty Liverpool if you gauge major trophies as success which I most certainly do.Instead of looking at the negatives let’s take the positives
Unbeaten at home
Point against an in form high flying team with ten and would have won barring that!
In touch with the leaders whilst still not playing that well
100% effort from all and sundry today all pulling their tripe out
Jussie has a good solid game in goal and runs his box superbly like an extra player after the sending off.Final comment – bury next week and a tight little ground with a good away following – can see a win there
300% better than last season and lots of positives far more than negativesAll those games are winnable – we shouldn’t fear anyone particularly at home.
My take on today is that we achieved a scruffy win against a team that had a real go in the second half.
defended well and put in 150% which is all you can ask for and I agree what will we achieve once the team finds it feet?
Superb goal from wigan lad Flores and he was my man and of the match for that goal and assist alone.
One little moan all those fookin part time supporters queuing at the cash turnstiles because we have picked up a bit recently -tossers!!! -
