It surprised me as well when I proffered my membership card, which we were told we had to have, only to be told it was season ticket or match ticket and that the membership card was only for away travel. How many people in there weren’t supporters club members? A lot, I’d guess.
Ta.
I’m getting worried now! I paid for my ticket for the end of season do on Monday, but there seems to be an implication here that you won’t get in, unless you’re a Supporters Club member? Is this true? I know pre-match you’re supposed to be a member to get in, but the website didn’t mention needing to be a member to get a ticket. Am I going to have to pay for membership as well as the £2.75 I’ve already paid to get in? Is this why I’ve neither received my ticket yet nor had any contact from them confirming how I will get it? (I’ve got my Paypal payment e-mail).
Birmingham’s two games will help keep them match fit while the rest could take the edge of our lot. I’m sure some kind of friendly could have been arranged easily enough.
@ lowey : I wouldn’t hold your breath waiting for us to start with two forwards, as Bobby doesn’t believe in it. He’ll revert to his favoured 4-5-1 with a lone, isolated striker. The best we can hope for is Sammon as the striker, as he looks more capable of holding the ball up than any of the others. It always used to be the case that strikers worked in pairs, feeding off each other and Sammon and Rodallega could do that.
Mmmmm – Talk Sportyou lost your credability straight away there
My thoughts too. Whenever I see somebody mention Spoutcrap, I tend to move on to the next post.
granqvist is a centre halfI was talking about this bit. Should have made it clearer.
“The Latics have also been linked with FC Twente fullback Roberto Rosales.”
A decent performance, in general, but no points/goals and that’s what we need at this stage of the season more than ever. Having someone who could score goals would be nice.
Interested that we’re linked with a full back to replace/back up Figueroa?
He’s alright until he tries to control the ball. He can trap it further than John Robertson could!
Yes, though I hope not.
Karma. “The refs are always against them”. Love it.
If anyone ever starts a campaign to get the so-called big clubs into a Euro league, my name will be right at the top. The sooner we get rid of the greedy barstewards and return to some sort of normality and more even playing field the better.
The corruption in the game I’ve followed for nearly half a century gets worse day by day and will never change for the better with the present structure. It’s only a matter of time before they try to reduce the size of the league yet again until they get to their 10 team ideal.
I forgot all about the minority sport’s friendly game until I happened to see it on $ky.
Are you lot joking? Must agree with the part about Diame being one of our better players?Did you detour via the pub? The Elephant Man is a liability. He gets forward but the number of times he falls over his own feet is laughable.
