Horrible stuff, apparently they’re playing in the same place as Ivory Coast & Ghana, you’d imagine they’re not too keen on playing there now, especially as those 2 nations have probably the biggest number of world-class players in their squads (Drogba/Essien etc)
On which level would selling Hugo to a midtable side, for a very average striker and £10m be a good deal, will someone please enlighten me, because I cant see it.
I could do with it being called off, at the moment I can’t get to any Saturday games even though I’ll be less than a mile from the ground at Boston House on Frog Lane…the more postponements the better, *if we could move our 13 remaining Saturday games to Sundays or midweek that would be great ta!
*hopes someone from WAFC reads this*
I’d love us to have more Englishmen in the team, but to not watch us cos we’ve not many English players is just pathetic.
“Wigan v Hull in RL would have been a sell out”…..unless the shite could win the league, they could make that £2 a piece and they wouldnt fill the stadium. Does that muppet know how many paying speccies the egg-men really get on every week?
So you’ve just read on the website that they’re doing everything in their power to get the game on, but yet they’re not making it known? Its on the offical website, what do you expect 10 seconds adverts on ITV?
That said if the forecast is right the game should be on, very cold and freezing at night but no snow.
I’m sure those Bury and Altrincham games we lost were in consecutive years, Bury got the Mancs at Old Trafford in R3 and I’m sure Altrincham went to Spurs.
Think Coyle going means Burnley are almost certain to go down…as for the job he’ll do in Horwich I’m not sure, he hasnt got long to assess the squad before the window closes and their style of play will take some changes. Can’t believe he’s gone there mind, a sideways move if ever there was one.
I’d agree Figueroa has been disappointing this season, better going forward than defensively. As for a LB, what about Nicky Shorey, experienced at Premier League level and although not the greatest, he’s quite a steady, reliable player
Sacking Martinez now would achieve absolutely nothing. He’s said himself that he needs 2 transfer windows to build a squad and he’s totally changed our style of play. Yes he has made mistakes and I was disappointed with the lack of tackling from the team at OT and the number of basic passing errors we made, Bobby needs to work on these aspects and get us back to being hard to beat and combining it with decent, passing football.
If anyone on here has forgotten what Jewell did for us they should be ashamed….quite simply, he made our dreams reality.
I think the clues are all there in the article….”overcoat”, “phone glued to ear”, “car roaring away”….a certain orange-coloured ex Horwich FC fella I reckon
Thats exactly what I mean Scholes….anyone who wants to go and play under Bryan Robson, is quite clearly an idiot, not to mention that he went from 1 club that would have been happy to finish 17th to another equally happy to finish 17th that season.
Said it before and I’ll say it again, Ellington to West Brom was the biggest single mistake regarding transfers I’ve ever seen a Latics player make….well done Nathan
Health & Safety gone mad, we get a bit of snow and the world stops (not Latics fault), but just another example of how farcical this country is at times….if we had to put up with really heavy snow, people would die due to lack of organisation by the powers that be, a few years ago this game would have been on no problem.
