Or fit enough, but yes Powell, Grigg and Burn are the backbone of our side. (potentially)

potentially been the operative word, I’ll show my harse up top er town if all three are still here in September. Barrow got the chop for speaking the truth, we as a club as fookin useless managing squads. It’s like buying new clothes without throwing some old out. Soon enough there’s no more room for those you’ll never use again but you just don’t like getting rid,

The new word for this is
      “Player Hoarder”

If were gonna play Bogle up front on his jacks (which looks more than likely) we better get the wide players right. I seem to remember him playing with a guy at his side at Grimsby when they scored 47 goals in a season so without the service he might struggle which was last seasons undoing.
Hopefully Powell gets himself fit and stays at Latics because his threat from midfield will be the difference between promotion and doing a Sheff Utd

Here we go, the Latics pre season merry go round starts today.
I just looked at our squad, 36 pros on the books ?, seriously why ?, and 3 I’ve never heard of about 8-9 of them will never wear a Tics shirt ever again so what’s the point ?. I just hope whoever comes in either gives those on loan a clean slate or otherwise just get fookin shut and be done !.
Who ever comes in has got one mess to tidy up, it reminds me of City some years back with 40 odd players on the books staff had forgot who was still signed to the club

It won’t make a sod a difference if we have 12 out 12 in every time we change managers and bring new players in we’ll never play actually in the memory of man.

Stability means the powers that be above choose the right guy for the job , I mean Coyle, MacKay and Joyce were enough to make you pond skim your season ticket up the duggy going phone

I think they were definitely let in so the police knew where they were as opposed to leaving them on the streets or in the town centre.

May not have happened if there was something riding on the game for us though.

Thats a tatic that rags me off, their in but wont be ejected from the ground purely because that means their wandering and not contained.
The way to try and combat this is to up the anti when their trying to get in,

For any of our stewards who read this the giveaway signs are as follows;-,
Wearing Leeds colours and small pin badges,
                Yorkshire accent,
Singing their bellend version of Marching on together,
Whippet or ferret on a lead
                or any called “Our Judd”

Yes their was Leeds in the corporate (comfy seats at the back of the west) but all those in the far corner of the West stand didn’t, unless their corporate package included sh!t seats in the very corner of the West stand and drinking beer under the concourse at half time. Police had to keep them separated at half time

And can someone please tell me wtf signing an injured Bruce was all about ??? his total contribution to our relegation battle was 1/2 a game of football, absolute joke Sharpe to sanction that move, laughing all the way to the bank I say

It’s very easy how to stop this but I’ll explain why they don’t.

First, if the stewards spot any Leeds trying to enter the gates of any home stand refuse them. Also print on every ticket or online booking that no away supporters are allowed in the home fans ends and if found they will be ejected from the ground regardless of were they live . If they can’t be harsed reading it then tough.

                        The reason they don’t ?,

because it then becomes someone else’s problem on the outside of the ground. And , isn’t it funny that they were all in the West Stand ? Their must have been at least 4,000 Leeds in the West Stand but I’m basing this on Leeds been the biggest club in Europe, well that’s what they tell us with their fairy tale bloated fanbase numbers

Whoever takes over has his work cut out. First job will be to sort out Bogle’s finishing

But for me it’s gotta be Nelson Vivas for Gunners defender, lets see some passion and tattoo’s while your at it;-

My problem with Jones stepping up is this. He has been with Bobby a while and has coached at Prem and now International level. Bobby had us playing a style he believed was best for the Prem ie one up top and strong midfield. GJ has been part of that set up and so will have the same ethos . In div 1 it is direct and much simpler and I don’t see the tactics working at this level. Can he adapt and play the way he ,Barrow, Atherton etc used to play and would he want to. That’s why I believe we should go for someone who knows the division and what it takes to be up there.

So your convinced it will be the Martinez way ?. So what your saying is, we need a Div1 manager ?. And what happens if we go up ? he be out his depth in the Championship.
Am I dreaming or has this happened before. So what we really need is to play the Div1 way with a Div1 manager and 2 Div1 centre halfs who can lump it up to Bogle who in turn can nod it down to Grigg.
Sorry but I think Jones will knowt there’s a big difference in player quality, style of play and Div1 pitches compared to the Championship and the Prem.

Ffs give the guy a chance or are you saying he’s over qualified ?.Nout like setting your sights high with likes of Kenny I’m forever blarwing babbulls Jackett, just the man for the job…Jesus wept

I think Jones would be perfect fit for us. Some of the names been banded about are borderlining on the insane.

Those experienced managers named will look at next season’s budget and run a mile. Who the F said Kenny Jackett Maclaren Keane ??, give me strength.

The difference between a no experienced Joyce and a no experienced Jones is his affiliation with the club as a player and as a No2.
Joyce’s managerial experience with senior players was virtually non excintant were Jones might not have been at the helm but dealing with senior players and some high profile and difficult players will stand him in good sted.

Look through the league’s and it’s littered with assistant managers who have took the step up so why can’t Jones ?. If there’s ever a time to give it a go alone it’s now and we need to make it happen asap. If we keep key players then going up with Jones will be a formality, without the right guy and players jumping ship next season will be another relegation battle.
Latics can not afford to keep getting it wrong I think next season will be the last chance saloon or we’ll just end up playing with Div1-Div2 for the next years.

Is that what we are looking forward to ?, playing low level sides in pre-season friendlies with a disjointed team and managerless.

I personally think we should be concentrating getting a manager within days of the Leeds game, followed by a major clearout before we start playing friendlies with a set side not bringing 15 players at the end of August.
I’ve a feeling it won’t workout like that, it will be more a case of us still putting our house in order 2-3 games into the season with about 6-8 new signings been made on deadline day.
Stability !!!! we need stability asap manager and players alike. Why the f##k do we need to keep clearing out ?. Look at our squad ?, most managers in Div1 would belt on off if they had our squad.

                                  They will if;
                                  A) we can keep the team
                                  B) most importantly – we get a decent manager & not the cheapest option.

But how the hell will that happen ??.

Every year we have cleared out the squad and managers alike and this will happen again and again till were in Div2.
I would love to know why we buy players, loan them out and then bring in a loan player to fill his boots.
Something’s not right at our club, an a 100 player turn around does not make sense.
The Morsey loan out and Colclough were enough to start the alarm bells ringing.
