Completely agree, some worse than others in that list! Touch wood we have something to build on with the current set up

I suppose ‘mess’ is a subjective term, so it opens me up to criticism. I agree he didn’t do the relegation stuff etc that you mention, but my recollection from the time was we probably only won half a dozen games or so, we were pretty low in the league, there was an undercurrent of discontent in the stadium and the team looked a bit disorganised, with a squad that was probably one of the favourites to go back up. I guess thats what I meant by a mess. Despite all that Belgium was still my favourite trip! and it was under Coyle and he came over and clapped us all in the rain, in his shorts, at at that point it felt good, having had some alcohol free lager in the stadium.

Coyle had a shocker at Latics and left us in a mess, but he also left me with my favourite ever football trip, that amazing trip to Bruges. I will never forget that. I know he didn’t actually get us there but he was part of the memory.

Rochdale is a mix of good and bad, fantastic pies from memory but terrible lager, jw lees, the worst pint in history. Sat next to David lees wife there once.

What are flash scores? Will give it a try to ease the frustration tonight!

My prediction is that I will spend the evening seeing which updates quickest; bbc website or the latics website commentary as I miss the mid-weekers.

I miss loads of games as I cant get to mid-weekers, but the season ticket is still worth getting (I get two kids as well). Sad to see a long term supporter feeling that way, but I struggle to see why you wouldn’t just buy the season ticket. If cash isn’t a problem, you can then go along whenever you please and not pay the pay on the day price. Don’t cut your nose off for no reason.

Agree with the Jacobs call there. Thought James was great going forward but we were exposed defensively a few times in the first half down our left side. Thought we were solid throughout, but almost holding back. Think it was a good job that penalty was saved, they were getting back in. Anyone pick up what was up with Powell?

I was really surprised at the booing, disappointed as well, from all accounts he has got on with training and not sulked. I reckon it affected him as well, he backed out of a clear shooting op that he would normally have had a dig. Shouldn’t be booing him. As for today I thought we were far superior, but got really complacent which almost ended up biting us on the backside.

Like it or not, club offering one of the most popular lagers in the country for £2 is a good offer for the majority that want a lager, guess not everyone does though!

I’m don’t think we need them either, Bruce is there fir cover and experience, and if we are playing one central striker then we gave enough options. Looking forward to this aft….

What are the differences between cooks approach and previous managers, how does he see himself fitting in the team when fit,
