but looking very bad now, think the players are lacking confidence and some real awfull passing
relegation a certainty with this woefull squad

no wind up just honest assumption of a poor squad we have

Nothing is a certainty as our last 2 seasons have shown. However, anyone who thought that this season would be anything more than maybe a boring oscillation between mid table and the edge of relegation was kidding themselves.
And even though things look woeful at the mo, I still think that’s what this season will be as soon as we get a more solid back line and some leadership back on the pitch.

What about the suffix – 6 points clear of 19th, on GD with 2 other teams and one win off 14th?

With fans like you who needs opposition fans?

I was going to post sthg similar tho maybe not quite a slating about JB.
Not all of his game is poor – many of his low and high crosses this season have been peachy and just lacked a striker’s finished. When he runs onto a moving ball he can cut defenders up.
For some reason tho he just can’t defend and if he receives the ball standing still he doesn’t have the quick feet to avoid getting dispossessed.
He’s also not looked the same since his injury.

Reckon once Maloney is properly back in the side we’ll start to see the old JB again.

Am I the only one who thinks that it was a good draw?
Admittedly I was swearing at the TV and the team when Lopez fckued up his pass for their second, but overall considering the state of our squad and the potential for an embarrasing upset I think we coped rather well.

Of course it’s awful – it’s a football single. Still catchy though and elicits a nostalgic smile. Released ahead of our Freight Rover cup final wasn’t it?

Not sure Beausejour at left centre back is a good option – defensively he had a stinker…caught on the ball, misplaced passes a plenty. If Golobart is too risky (but my sense is he’s not) then I’d keep JB at wing back and put Jones in at LCB

It’s a pity he treats the cups with such contempt because with the luck of the draw there is a real chance of a final this year. Yet another embarrassment being knocked out by a club miles away from us in terms of leagues (as it has been every year since Bob has been in charge) Another reason other fans beat us to death with the embarrassment we have to endure sometimes. What is wrong with a cup run? why are they so resented? Our fringe players are awful, They wouldn’t make a good league 2 side as it is. Baffling.

Agree with that first point Yosser, but I think the comments from folks about this being an embarrassment are disrespectful to Bradford. Sounds like they worked v hard to create their chances via penalties at which point they were clearly the favourites.

The attitude towards the cups is strange. What would our approach have been if we were in Europe I wonder? We should be using every game to learn and build confidence. Tinkering is fine, but tonight’s lower strength line-up wasn’t essential.

I also wonder whether the next time we’ll now see Mauro start is the FA Cup 3rd round?

Clearly didn’t give Bradford the respect they deserved and got punished for it.
Not embarrassing, but very very disappointing – at least we lost on pens rather than by a goal during normal/extra time.

A bar owner in a remote Amazonian village once said to me that it was an honour to have the great Ronaldo in his bar (note – this was 10 years ago when the actual Ronaldo was still in his prime and not an overweight chipmunk).

However, I can go one better: had I not got 6-7 years on him, me and our very own Ali Al Habsi could have been separated at birth…

Seemed to be back to his old tricks of shooting from way out and way off target vs Arsenal today though, so not sure we’re really him missing that much.
Maybe if we’d started with Kone or Ryo on the right from the start then we might have seen some Moses-esque trickery?

Am waiting to watch the game back, so can’t yet comment on our performance, but from what I’ve read/heard it could have been a very different game had our first half chances gone in and not been thwarted by some outstanding goalkeeping. Also, had we not had Jordi sent off we may well have come away with at least a point. I’m certainly not writing us off for the rest of the season just off the back of a third straight Prem loss.

What I don’t understand is, as yicktick says, is how we ended up with the same line-up as against Fulham despite remarks by Bob after both the Fulham and West Ham games that “fringe” players would get their chance this week.

Boselli not getting a start today really really surprised me. Boselli not even coming on as a sub ahead of Di Santo confused me. Boselli not even making it onto to the pitch left me speechless.

That’s my point. No way after 5 games including 2 vs the two top teams can you even begin to predict which way we or any other team are going.
Just enjoy the jostling like it’s the start of the 10000m and save your energy and tempers for at least 10-12 games in.

Right now I’m more concerned about us not turning up on Tuesday night.

                                Hi

I am just wondering what is the best way to get my hands on away tickets? i live too far from the DW but I’m planning to get to a few away fixtures when i can around London and the East of England.

Any suggestions as the best way for a non season ticket holder to get away tickets?

                                cheers!

Aussie – there’s a friendly bunch of us living in and around the London/South area that meet up regularly for southern away games. Two of our lot actually live down your neck of the woods – one in Cambridge and one in Norfolk.
If you’d like to be included in the emails that fly back and forth when we’re trying to arrange which games we’re going to (and more importantly where we’re drinking) then PM me and I’ll add you to the list. Emails will soon be flying about the cup game vs West Ham.

Now and again we also use the various ST holders in our group and those with purchase history/more time to call the ticket office to get tickets for each other so we might be able to help that way too.

stopped watching it, can’t be arsed with it anymore, were always on last, except when we get a hammering where they go into deep analysis on how shit we are, shearer and lee dixon seem to stick up for us though.

                                  I must admit, I do like Lee Dixon’s, impartial and un-biased views.[/quote]

Except we won’t be getting any more of those on MOTD – Lee’s defected to ITV.
