I heard powell and forshaw will sign next week and maloney off to everton
LOL
That’s the funniest thing I’ve heard all day….…hope it’s true
“swathes of ethnic no-go areas”?? Swathes??
I certainly fear for your grandchildren.Far too early to be panicking. We’ve scored in every game and have shown a good fight to pull ourselves back when we’ve gone behind. But the naievity and inexperience he showed towards the last third of last season is coming through.
If the team is still trying to gel he should have played the same team from Reading against Burton so that (whatever the outcome) by the time we played Charlton they would have started to be more of a unit. Now the pressure is on a weary, demoralised team away on a Tuesday night at la relegated prem team.
Have also got a sneaky suspicion that Maccas two goals will have alerted a few teams – losing both him and MacArthur at the end of the month would be disastrous.Lineker, Shearer, Chiles
I’m not in favour of locking an inoffensive thread just because some people don’t like it.
If, for some reason, it doesn’t appeal to some people, then they have a remedy in their own hands – don’t look at it.
This is a forum. If posters wish to contribute to it, then you should let them. Who knows, they may find something new to say.
And the original poster – Alasdair – has already shown his willingness to continue the debate in the new season.
You just want it to get to 1000 posts ;)
I agree though, let it continue. It’s been an amusing debate. If people aren’t at all interested, they can just ignore it.
Absolutely no reason to lock this thread, especially not because folks are bored with it!
We have a whole new season coming up where Bob’s fortunes balancing the PL and Europe will be watched right here with some interest. Will he be able to match Coyle and have Everton on the verge of qualifying out of the group stage after just 4 games ? ;)For a £2.5m transfer fee and £4m on wages of £80k/week we could afford him – gerrim signed ;)
EPL – City, L’pool (100+ goals); Coca Cola – Burnley (Vokes), QPR (Austin), B’burn (Rhodes) .. etc. etc.Gomez, our player of the campaign (!!) off ??? sitting down (CCL) into next season won’t help matters thats for sure …
LOL – you know it hasn’t been called the fizzy pop league for about 3 years now CPJ?!
Starting McLean at CF, knackering him out and then continuing to play him there after Waghorn came on for Callum, rather than switching them, stumped me.
Think Uwe has shown a fair bit of naievity of late – let’s hope a full summer does the trick.
Gary and Steven Caldwell
Not quite got the point have you?
Why not? Who said the namesakes couldn’t be related?

Not sure Andy T would agree with you re: the Bull Martin!
If it’s a nice evening though, you can’t do much better than “Tesco’s beer garden” in front of the BBC and a stones throw from Loftus Road. Big grassy area, loads of benches and cheap 4-packs from nearby Tesco. Nearest tube White City – come out, cross Wood Lane and head right.
Think yer on yer own on this one Donny. Resting our strongest players, whilst giving our fringe players some valuable game time ahead of the playoffs, in a dead rubber fixture, felt like a no-brainer to me.
I disagree. With the amount of money swashing around the prem we have no choice but to get promoted as soon as possible. No guarantees we’ll be stronger next year esp if many of our ex prem players move on.
The secret is to not give a shit once we’re up – which now we’ve been there and done that I don’t anymore, Just assume we’re going to get relegated, focus just on the cups and treat it as a smash and grab. If we stay up, bonus. Otherwise, with that cash and chute payments we can have another fun year in the championship…and so on…
It will still look like an upside down wheelbarrow whatever they call it :lol:Always remember driving past on the M61 soon after it opened with an ex GF…who pointed at it and said “what is that thing?”
And then she turned round to admire Bolton’s stadium ;)
Would’ve been nice to cement our playoff place today and send a message to our rivals, but what did we have to gain by going all out with our strongest team against a club that was drooling for a home win to seal promotion?
Espinoza not even on the bench was puzzling though.
