Unbelievable today, just hope the wigan public get off their arses boxing day and get down to the d w. Happy Christmas everyone
Listening to cook after match interview and there was a mention of fans turning up for the shrews game in bigger numbers than usual so maybe we’ve sold a few more than normal pem?
We normally get bigger crowds on Boxing Day so here’s hoping.
Festive cheer to allOn paper we should win comfortably. They’ve not won in five & only won once in their last 9 games. Fleetwood have a pretty poor defence but can score some.
That said, we’ve struggled with the lesser teams for some reason, and if we play like we did against Fylde then I reckon we’ll draw.. But play well and we could win 3-0
We got in ground nice and early, wanted to get a nice, safe spec for the kids who are 11 and 8. Did so. Or so we thought.First 10 or 15 mins was full of latecomers “just have one more pint” coming in anf then deciding to stand smack bang in front of us. Kids couldnt see at all, so had a word with 3 or 4 and told them to move. Stewarding was crap. Kept shepherding people in from the corner, then told some to move into spaces up on the terracing, yet let a group of about 10 bellends stand at the side of the goal, up to the hoardings. Totally ruining the view of kids and several people who had been in early. Some Wigan fans are a disgrace. There was a toilet cubicle without a toilet fitted in. Can you believe people were still pissing on the floor? Absolutely disgusting. I’m no prude, heck I went in the old Wembley toilets where you were paddling in piss, but come on!
Battling to keep my kids interested but it will be home games only from now on.
Anybody who didnt go tonight, think yourselves very lucky. Shocking performance against a piss poor Fylde side. Plenty sideways passing, hardly tested their keeper. Maybe we arent as good as we think? Is it League One thats poor quality? If we go up we will need a complete new side as nowhere near good enough. Massey isnt good enough, Power was shocking and one up front…I hate it. Grigg cant play the role. He got a goal but did nothing else. Morsy, Evans and Jacob trying to create things, but nothing up front.
So a replay it is then. A game we didnt need and a 2000 attendance. At least we are in the draw, I suppose. We didnt deserve anything other than what we got. Had a lot of possession, did nothing with it.
I had a simliar situation vat but I’ve experienced this for a while now. Wembley 2013 my youngest struggled to see much…
Standing though, you’ve got to expect this and that’s why seating is best for kids.
The drunken knobs (teenagers mainly) that don’t give a shit about their fellow tics is a new phenomena that I don’t care for much. They are definitely embarrassing! And looking at most if them with their designer kit on, they’d run a mile at the first sign of trouble..Come June let’s hope the players turn up because they didn’t bother in France. The same could be said for the last twenty years snowy..
Should… get through the groups but I’m old enough to expect not a lot else with England
Who remembers when we first signed Morsey and he was a marauding attacking midfielder ? Every time he got the ball back then we anticipated some action, whether it be a run into the box or some great effort on goal from distance but now he seems bereft of any of that?I’ve said the same filmoss.. morsey plays deep now, along with power. Thought he was tireless in that forward ish role putting defence under pressure. For me, he’s wasted in that ho,ding midfielder position. Don’t get me wrong he’s good, but I much preferred him further up the field.
What have Fylde done to upset you Vat? Been pretty critical of them since the draw.
Just the odd thing on their website and that. Annoyed me as well how theyve kind of been dismissive of the fact we are taking an away following as big as their average attendance, and yet told not welcome in their supposedly decent and large sport’s bar. There are non league clubs out there that would have thrown the welcome mat out and took advantage by being more hospitable and welcoming. I also emailed them very politely about parking advice, and got no response. They just come across as being a bit too cocky for my liking. Hope we stuff them good and proper. Play the full team and do it.[/quote]
They’ve got to big it up VAT as if not what would be the point of their fans turning up.
Funnily enough I used the old fashioned method of communication and rang the club about parking. The chap was very helpful, but couldn’t help get the impression he was the only one working there…. he probably wasn’t up to speed with modern technologies like email :blink:Ticket prices are out Donny & not too bad I think, about normal for this league. Boxing day matches at home generally are larger crowds for us.

Talking to Jayt at match today club only received them yesterday.so i’ll take it they will take the money for the tickets once they send them? They aint taken anything from me yet…
To put this season’s achievements so far into context…
In the 2002/03 season, when we finished on 100 points, we had 41 points after 19 games. We’re currently 1 point ahead of that.Good point made… I said at start of season we would do 100 points this season, let’s hope it happens.
Didn’t go myself but sounded like Bruce had a good game & his goal was terrific. Made up Grigg got on the score sheet too.
Great game & actually enjoyed watching it. Difficult to pick a MOM as all played really well but thought Colclough edged it.
Top of the Championship.
Could that be us this time next season or are we likely to be Bolton floundering around the bottom?
Struggle to think how The Blades could be top of The Championship playing two up top as everyone keeps telling us it doesn’t work. And Leon Clarke scoring plenty… mmmmmmm
Feed the striker and he will score
We must have a centre forward in the youth set up that can offer more than Toney… I’d be worried if not.
We’ve lost one tworps and you start spitting dummies. We are still in a good position to do what we started out to do at the begining of the season, win promotion. Some of you FFS need your heads wobbling. It is only one loss JR but it was the manor of it that concerns me. Defensively today, from the off we were dreadful.. Burn & Dunkley all over the place, out wide, high up field, miles apart from each other and not talking to each other let alone the ones around them. Bradford had numerous chances in the first half and if they had a good striker they’d have been 3 up and that was all down to our defensive display today.
Upfront, well for me something isn’t right in camp as Toney isn’t a patch on Grigg. Everything Toney can’t do, Grigg can, but isn’t starting?
That performance today is a long way away from the first few games we played at start of season. We haven’t played really well for a while now.
Hearing lots of people on social saying they got tickets for this but I’d not heard anything. Just spoke with club and looks like I’ve got tickets.
On city website that they’ve sold 2k tickets. Another batch goes on sale tomorrow so can’t see them bringing more than 2.5k?
