For those travelling to Bristol & thinking of parking at Bedminster Cricket Club. they have posted a note advising there is no parking allowed on Saturday. Their diary shows two home matches! WAFC posted this as a parking option on their website.
Bars open though :cheer:
Club have said the initial allocation of 1200 has nearly sold out. Not too bad in the end.
Let’s hope we put in a good performance, get a result and go away happy. In case you’d forgotten, the folk of Wigan have a track record of not turning up for semi-finals, even when they are a novelty:

Loved the comment from the commentator on the TV last night.. Hull fans have travelled in numbers tonight, wigan fans not so!
You can’t really take the piss looking at last nights following.Wasn’t you Wigan RL fans that contaminated the drinking water in Doncaster last night was it :)
£25 pound isn’t much more than the average we paid last season so not much of an excuse. Wasn’t Blackpool away a similar price? Looks like the glory hunting day trippers can’t make this one..
Anybody know how many tickets we’ve sold for this one?Not a bad signing this one, I think.. Our defence did need some work.
I’d like to see more options up front though. With only one decent forward we could be in a spot of bother If anything happens to Grigg..
And this is the fantasy land of football…
Did I read somewhere that Fergie couldn’t get on with this agent and why he sold him?
Haven’t seen much of Pogba, but from what I saw at this years Euro’s, he’s drastically over priced?
Don’t mention that thread!!… :pinch:
He’d be a fool to take that job. He won’t get any time to put in place his tippy tappy football. Them Mackems will have him booed out after 10 games.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/36825307Its now made national and international news.
Knobs indeed – whoever voted for him. Its more ridiculous than Ann Widdecomme in Strictly Come Dancing, seeing as she actually took part.
What next – Boaty Mc Boatface for the Balon D’or?
That chubster has got a lot to answer for….
Well that’s it then. Old Sharpy can expect an offer of circa 100m for Grigg :P
Just imagine if he had of played, and scored!!4 friendlies….no goals…..!!!..are you concerned ???Not concerned Brownbill, wouldn’t expect us to score many, if any against prem teams. But there was a lot of passing around the back yesterday and with just the one up front he got very little service. Thought Odelusi should have scored though with that blunder from their keeper?
If available and if deemed appropriate, would anyone care to post a photo of Alan?I have been going since the late 60’s and feel sure I ought to recognise him , but a photo would help and I’m sure other Posters may be interested in ‘seeing’ Alan.
I wanted to ask the same question Zeb but wasn’t sure I should. Didn’t know Alan to talk to but recognise his face from the link. R.I.P mate.
Looks like we could be getting Ryan Taylor back??
Not sure how often he played for Hull last season but could still potentially do a job down the left side??
Agree or disagreeFormer Newcastle fans favourite close to joining league champions – report
Not keen on it myself..
Hope the club don’t sell him RP, we need Will more than the money, at the moment..
Could do with extending his contract now really. Wasn’t it a 3year deal we got him on?Hope I’m wrong but I don’t think the goals will come as easy this year.
He feeds off being in the right place at the right time. He will always get goals in a good team.
Just depends how this team takes to the Championship.
It will be tougher for sure, but hopefully these new signings will help us settle in nicely. Grigg is a natural goal scorer for me and it wouldn’t surprise me if he got 15 / 16 goals this season.
Hope the club don’t sell him RP, we need Will more than the money, at the moment..
Could do with extending his contract now really. Wasn’t it a 3year deal we got him on?Last time i can recall a friendly with UTD was at Springfield Park in the early 90s & that team was full of academy player nobody had heard of…!
I went to that. United announced they were entering the Lancs Manx cup & then on the date they were playing Latics arranged a friendly at Old Trafford against Benfica so barely anyone was at Springfield Park.
If I remember rightly though there were a good few first teamers in the United side.
From memory I’m sure that Paul Ince, Lee Sharpe, Danny Wallace + some others were there
There was Tyldesley, I’m sure Scholes played as well, might have even scored?? Can’t remember if Butt did as well ?.
Point was, GC might play some youth, as might the other two clubs. -
