Are you going today, Donny ?

in reply to: What was that? #177785

Watched Pilk’s goal about 5 times and still can’t say that anyone was offside !

Think we missed Windass today; just nobody to hold the ball up when we got in good positions.

I’ll take a No Deal Brexit

Okay the cost of certain items make rise as a consequence; but it will only be relatively short term because the exporting countries will soon modify their pricing structure when their sales to the UK disappear.
I hear all this scaremongering on TV and in the press; and from the mouths of slippery politicians:

The cost of German cars will rise by 10% – Okay, so what; if the Japanese are smart, they can steal the German sales.
The cost of cheese will go up – The French can keep their cheese and we will support our excellent local home grown producers.
Same with wine – We will take Tim Martin’s lead and source New World product. The import tariffs will no longer be dictated by Europe; thus allowing these countries to compete on a level playing field.
I hear people saying we will not be able to get this or get that – the pain will only we short lived as our own entrepreneurs will seize the opportunity to build the businesses that are in demand.

The scaremongers are the politicians, who have no skills to offer industry; so just talk shite and bluff their way through life. Our industry Captains are the key to turning this great nation around. Let’s put the Great back into Britain and let’s leave on the 12th of April and get on with it. After all we are in the birth sign of Aries; the sign of leadership !!!

Big game today, so let’s get behind the lads :woohoo:
Other teams in the relegation fight have some tough games today, so even a point could be crucial, and three could be the lifeline :woohoo:
Might even cheer Knob End on, today

I think they could do more with the East stand area and why not leave the concourses open for two hours after games so people can have a beer and a chat .

So you wanna stand there till 7 say mid winter on a Saturday, freezing your ted’s off while drinking nats p1ss ?. I think by 5:30 you’d be on your mobile on your jack’s while everyone else are either at home thawing out or in a nice warm boozer chatting away.
To be fair Cup Winners, Dave Whelan had the very same idea not long after the stadium was built coz I was at a fans forum where he spoke about it.
Apparently it was vetoed by the police who said it would just be encouraging excessive drinking
Correct Tilders, I also remember that.

Seem to recall that the Police & Council poured cold water on a number of reasonable ideas :( :( :(

Yep, heard this about 5 weeks ago. No smoke without fire

Take a look at their remaining games:

WBA/A
Leeds/H
Sheff U/H
Ipswich/A
Derby/H
Rotherham/A
Wigan/H
Reading/A

Now that looks tough to me; and suddenly there are three six pointers to battle out !

in reply to: Bolton’s last ever game #177472

If Bolton’s results are expunged, then it opens up more questions, like: what if an opposing player was red carded in one of the games. That red card could have had an impact on the teams next three results. Hoe do you correct that situation ? Answer is that you can’t.

Can I have a refund for my ticket to the away game ?

Yes it was an excellent game, YES all the team played well, but will they be able to replicate this performance for the next eight games.

Then consider the Question WHY Cook allowed the team, individual players, to play so badly for so long. I welcome it as most supporters
Must. But never forget, who can, the awful football played for too long leaving us fearing relegation.

The imminent 12 points reduction on Birmingham City places them at 19th and we at 18th. Cook must motivate his players as he did for yesterday’s
Game to ensure we arrive in the middle of the table.

one swallow does not a summer make!

How can I Fly Like an Eagle, when I’m Surrounded by Turkeys !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As you would expect from the Latics fans, we gave it our full respect !

Great win, and could have been many more. A bit twitchy at the back at times in the 2nd half, but great credit to the lads for keeping at them and sealing a great win.
Garner was my man of the match today.

Yes Mr H, it hurts me to praise an ex Knob Ender; but Garner was excellent today. Defo MoM. In fact I’ll be shouting for’t Knob End in a couple weeks time when they go to Reading.

in reply to: Well that’s a surprise #177301
Well done though for keeping updated on that sport you supposedly don’t care about.

How can you say that, when he has WRLFC toilet paper :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

in reply to: Blackburn away ….. #177181

We need three wins out of the next nine games to stay up.
Best chances are Bolton, Brentford & Millwall.

in reply to: Blackburn away ….. #177090

They will kick the sh-t out of Powell and try to light Sammy’s blue touchpaper before actually trying to win the game. With Nicky taken off through injury and Morsy sent off, they will then try and play some football.

Their left fullbacks are garbage, so we should use Macca to rip em up down that side.

Come on you Tics.

in reply to: Today’s game #176859

Think we are worth a point at least.
Bloody unlucky Latics !
