Wish i was there with you on tuesday TBH. Latics mon through thick & thin me & i have seen some sh1te in my time. I was there during what i consider THEE sh1test moment as a latics fan – the kenny swain period.
Spot on but first game since august have a wordCant help my shifts mate. Have to wait weeks again for my next game.:-(
First ever winners
No we wasn’t, AFC Bournemouth were the first winners.
You are both right in a manner of speaking. The year before we won it, it was called something else, like the football league trophy or something. On the match video, martin tyler describes us as the in-augeral(?? not sure of spelling) winners of the freight rover trophy.
Who do you get to replace him??
At the time it was a dream come true for me as a kid seeing my team at wembley as i never thought i would ever see my team in a wembley final.;-)
he as defo lost the dressing room hardest thing in football is to score so when u do u get dropped terrible managementA relative of mine is having physio on her back by none other than simon farnworth – who yes has nothing to do with us anymore (as he is now working as morecambe’s physio), but has kept in close touch with people from wigan. The story/rumour goes that none of the players are keen on rosler & hate his ideas.
If we go forward with that attitude, we will soon be putting too much emphasis on getting 3 nurps. :woohoo:Not quite sure what you mean there JR.
Plus we got to play in that stadium and who knows we may even own it plus weve seen three fantastic promotions, an Auto Windscreens Trophy, A league Cup Final and an FA Cup win and semi final. We also have got to play against and see some of the worlds greatest players and see our Latics beat them. Oh and Wigan Athletic in Europe. Just say those words again. FA Cup winners and Wigan Athletic in Europe!
Go on again FA Cup winners and Wigan Athletic in Europe. Amazing! The greatest story in the history of British football and we have all witnessed it.
FFS Dave much gratitude from me for letting me live a dream and if Dave has creamed 600 million off Sky in the process, well done Dave.
We are in a great stadium playing against great clubs still and not piss wet through and shivering at Springy playing South Liverpool on a Wednesday. However if we were back in non league and playing Chorley or Alty again piss wet through on a Wednesday evening I would still be there because this is my great little club!!Good post donny.
But i also agree with another post that too much emphasis has been put onto getting back into the premier league as well.
At least with gomez gone we only have the one boo-boy now this season. I can’t wait for his return & the moment he does the one bad pass or caught in possession….
Could hit that this weekend if we lose and results go against!I know 35 & griff are 2 of our more positive posters but vince does have a point.
If he is to be sacked the one person who has sorted out problems before, & could probably do it again –
Paul jewell
Well not that one anyway! Remember Blackpool! :)
It would seem rosler doesn’t take it seriously either.
One up front does not bode well with Wigan fans after enduring it for what seemed a lifetime under Martinez yet Rosler seems to think it can work? He will learn the hard way I fear!
Ha ha, and I bet he’s lying awake at nights worrying what you think! I wouldn’t trust most Wigan fans to sit the right way on the bog, let alone advise me on tactics
He won’t be sleeping well if we don’t get any points from the next 3 fixtures! Tick tock job me thinks! By the way, what is the right way to sit on the bog? I have known people sit sideways as well as the forward facing more conventional way!
I usually sit forwards myself & am helped along the way by reading the comments on here to make me go!!
Not the best of nights for Bobby boy !Never did take the cups seriously did he
