I’m not one who gets worked up about the comings and goings of football players but I feel I may have to make an exception with this fellow.
I’d be very surprised if it did go through.
Well Micky it seems Mr Holloway has backtracked somewhat on his threat to resign if fined for fielding a weakened team. He qualified it by saying only if Oyston agreed it would be in the club’s best interests. Oh dear!
My money’s on him not resigning and paying the fine himself out of the cut he’ll get from the sale of Charlie Adam.
BUT I don’t need the same old same old ramming down my fckin throat every time I visit what used to be my favourite web site.

Now I’m really starting to worry. :oops:There is a lot of talk of this young unfinished article of a manager and that is all fair comment but what a gamble by DW to employ such a young and inexperienced manager a couple of years before he sells up ! I dont understand the financial side of football but I am pretty sure that the club would be worth more in the Prem than in the Championship !And there lies the paradox which no one seems to be able to answer, except DW himself, but I don’t think he posts on here.

Unfortunately the greed culture that is prevalent within society today conditions people into believing they should have and must have what everyone else has regardless of the consequences. Whelan has put a stake in the ground and said enough is enough. He’s got a manager who shares his views and is “cutting the cloth” to suit Wigan Athletic. Maybe, and most probably, we’ll get relegated this season but it’s better to do that with the current regime than to throw money around on high cost managers and players in the vain hope this will be the solution, only to find you’ve still been relegated but bankrupted the club in the process. Why don’t all those people who are in “panic” and “despair” at what they perceive to be wrong at the club get together and buy out Whelan? Maybe you can borrow the money using the club’s assets as collateral! You can then have nothing to moan about and no one to blame and the remaining doom mongers can direct their vitriol at you instead when proclaiming to be the only voice of reason and sense.
